One of my Hubs has lost its featured status and become unfeatured due to lack of engagement. Now, I would have no problem with this, it being the case that Hubs are expected to achieve a certain level of interest. However, this Hub was doing better statistically than another one that covers a similar subject and which remains featured. So I am baffled. Assistance would be much appreciated.

Which hubs are you talking about?

'On The Safari Trail In Kenya' has become unfeatured, whilst 'Up Close With The Big Cats On Safari' remains featured.

Unfortunately we cannot look at the unfeatured Hub to compare it to the other Hub which you mentioned or we might be able give a comment.

Perhaps the Hub with the problem had to do with you using two of the exact words in your Hub which were also used in the link site. Make sure that you do not use any words, or anything else, from the link site.

It may just be my personal opinion, but the way you have placed links within both the hubs doesn't appear natural.

If you look at your hub http://johnnycook.hubpages.com/hub/Suns … tar-Chords

The way you have referenced the link is more appropriate.

If you really wanted those links in there maybe place them in a links module.

Post the links next time it's easier that way

If you wish to see the hub and comment, it is still available in Google's cache

Or just at its home url.  It is unfeatured, not unpublished

      http://johnnycook.hubpages.com/hub/On-T … l-In-Kenya

And if it is unfeatured for engagement, you have gotten less than the threshold number of visits from valued sources (which is different from visits in total).

Unfeatured is not the same as unpublished; both your hubs are live on the site.

    http://johnnycook.hubpages.com/hub/Up-C … -On-Safari
If you want your unfeatured hubs to appear on your profile page, you can fix that in your profile settings.  The default is to show only featured hubs.
As to why one is featured and the other is not, it's always been a mystery.  You're not the first to report that a hub with more traffic became unfeatured, while one with less did not.

Same here. Woke up tot 2 hubs unfeatured for engagement.  Tired of the HP games. I copied, deleted, and moved not only those 2 hubs but 2 or 3 more on top of them with more to follow.
