Another questionable shooting in Hawaii Does 'Stand Your Ground'apply?

   I know that these unfortunate shooting cases have been aired ad naseum, but I have been very curious as to how far the 'stand your ground' idea will be taken by conservative posters. Is there a limit? I can easily see armed bullies provoking a conflict and using their weapons, later claiming self defense.
   
   Here in Hawaii there is a case presently being litigated that have many of us here on edge.

   I believe this was avoidable as federal agents are operating under specific behavior restrictions and are to held to a higher standard. This guy should have just walked away.....

      Guess I'm confused as I don't see any connection to stand your ground.
      
      Two drunks enter a business, one smarts off to a third person and the other mouths off to him because of it.  First drunk hits second drunk, who then shoots first drunk.  I just don't see any real connection to stand your ground.
      
      I do have a real problem with a drunk carrying a weapon, and being a federal agent is irrelevant to that.
      
      And yes, both should have just walked away given that the bystander was in no real danger from the first drunk.

      Unless it passed in the last few weeks, Hawaii doesn't have a "stand your ground law".

   Increasingly, police are shooting innocent people on their own property.

   And taking away our Constitutional rights of assembly (spraying pepper spray on defenseless, motionless, kneeling people).
   
   One retired policeman at the Occupy Wall Street demonstration noted that hiring policies have changed over the years to allow more psychopaths into police departments -- officers less afraid to be abusive.
   
   One journalist (Jim Garrow, I believe), with connections to the US military high ranking officers, discovered that Obama had sent out a questionnaire to some (all?) military officers asking if they would obey the president if he ordered them to fire on civilians? Those who would obey the Constitution and disobey the president were immediately dismissed -- forced to resign their commission.
   
   The seeds of oppression are becoming stronger.
   
   And when a lawless president says that Gitmo prisoners should stay there even if found innocent, you know America has become a tyrannical police state.
   
   If so many people were not already hurt by this tyranny, it'd be comical. America has become the Evil Empire it once decried.
