New Format???

I just wrote a new hub today, the first in a couple of months or more.  It was auto-related, and it seemed to come with a "pre-formatted" template.

I do not like it, and I want to arrange the text capsules myself.  What happened is that one of the text capsules seemed to be automatically floated right, and I don't want it there--it is a little out-of-sequence, and confusing in my opinion, because the next-door capsule finishes out being full-width underneath the right-hung capsule.  I don't like this at all.

Can I fix it???  Do I have to unpublish and start over??  What gives, here?

Those are called topic templates.  See the announcement here:

      http://blog.hubpages.com/2013/05/a-new- … templates/

If you don't like them, you can select "Basic Article" in section 3 here (the next time you start a new Hub):

      http://hubpages.com/hubtool/create/name/

For a hub that was already started with the templates, you'll just have to delete all the extra capsules until you get down to how you like it.

        Crud!  Ok...  sad
What about an already-published hub?  Can I still get things re-arranged?

Of course, you can move capsules around any time in any Hub.

Yeah--I finally figured that out...sorry for all the confusion/failure to think things through....It's just that with everything that's been going on at home with health issues, my frustration tolerance is a minus 20.  sad

Carola Finch almost had it for you but she forgot to explain fully that if you hover your mouse over the right corner of the 'floated right' capsule then you will see a double ended arrow. Click on that arrow and the capsule will grow to full size, next to that arrow you will see an up arrow and a down arrow with which you are able to move the capsule above or below the following or previous capsule. There is also a red 'X' beside the arrows and when you click on this you totally remove the capsule. I should have mentioned that to move your capsule back to the right the double-ended arrow becomes an arrow pointing to the right - just click on that.

        Thanks, Examiner--
Yes, I've been using the regular process for so long that I just didn't notice that something new slipped in.  I've gotten it fixed, now...

You don't have to use the template.  You have the option to click on "basic article" and use the basic format. You can fix the problems.  You can click on the arrows at the top of the text box to undo the right orientation. In "edit" mode you can scroll down to "organize your content" on the right side and move your capsules around by clicking and holding down your mouse and dropping them on the location you want inbetween the capsules.  Just make sure the capsul goes where you want, sometimes they pop up to the top.

      Thanks, Carola--
I've been in absentia for a while, and had not realized these pre-formatted things crept in while I was "away."
I'm still not fully "back," and personal issues are keeping me from having time to catch up on all the posts vis-a-vis new changes.
