   This is another example why having at least one featured Hub should be the minimum requirement for posting to the forum.

      There is a five featured hub rule to bypass publishing moderation. Why not use the same rule to bypass using the forums.? Why is Hubpages so reluctant to implement changes in the forums so its members can feel confident in the site?

      The other day I was talking to someone in a forum and didn't quite get what they meant.  I think I understand now.  You are saying that anyone can post in a forum even if they have never written a hub?  And some believe that it is attributing to the copying of hubs?

         Yes, anyone may post on the forum whether or not they have ever written a Hub.
         
         No, I don't think that is a factor in copying Hubs.  That comment was about the spam forum post that started this forum thread and has since been removed.  The spammer posted an entire article here which had been plagiarized from another website.

   When you post to a spam thread - I think it prevents the 'team' from deleting the post completely.
   Correct me if I am wrong on this.
   
   If that is true replying to a spammer's post keeps at least part of the spam post (the subject/title)  in the forum line up. It looks obvious to me that is what happens. Can anyone tell me if I am right or wrong on this?
