Hi.. I was wondering, recently I have started to distribute my hubs within the online communities that I participate in and among my friends. And after seeing my analytic reports, I noticed that, my links have been further distributed, most probably those friends and members of those communities could have spread them further.
Now I wonder, if I organize this method in a proper way, I might be able to get traffic to my hubs to some extent per each day. I just want to know if this is ok with the hubpages TOS. Please help me with this... thanks
Were you thinking of asking your friends to click on your ads? It would certainly upset Google if it thought you cheating on adsense.
No Way! I hardly Managed to get on to Google Adsense and have no intention of losing it at any means. I'm just curious about spreading the word. Just sharing my links with everyone I know and spread further. No intention on increasing earnings whatsoever. Just worried coz this will only bring direct traffic to my hubs, so will it effect to the hub score? or degrade my hubs serp's in google, etc?
Are you simply sharing a link to your hub to your friends through email and social networking channels yourself? If so, not only is it allowed, it is recommended. It shows interest and engagement when your friends read your articles, which hopefully will let Google know that your hub is worth sending readers to. Just don't buy links though, because that kind of false traffic can cause you big trouble.
Be sure that when you are sharing with your friends, that you are not spamming them. If all you do in your online communities is share links to your hubs, they will get upset really fast. Be sure to also participate in these communities according to the rules of the community. On Pinterest, be sure to look at and pin images that are not yours. On Facebook, also talk about things other than your own hubs, and share other things too.
If you go to the Learning Center, http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/contents
there are articles on How to Promote and Protect Your Brand that tell you the best way to use Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and Google+. Of course, you can use other methods too, like email and message boards, and communities that ask questions like Yahoo Answers to share your links.
Thank You Very Much for Your Kind Reply Sir. This explains everything. And yes, I'm just trying to widen my audience and that's all. I'm just writing for fun and have no means of trying to increase my earnings here. I do other stuff to earn online, which does not include article marketing. I joined here because I needed to improve my writing skills and needed proper examples and guidance to do so. And badly wanted to join this great community, which included resourceful persons like you.
I think it's completely ok to do what I'm doing now. And will surely keep those advises in mind while promoting my hubs. I address a huge email community ( which I have formed by doing those other online deeds) and here and there, I mail these hubs when I can. I was worried that this direct traffic would have a negative impact on my hubs or something similar would happen. But after your detailed explanation, now I realize it won't cause such a situation after all....
Thanks again for helping out sir!!
