Yesterday, after reading the answers to what qualities make men attractive to women, I came away with some insights about myself, my marriage, etc. etc.
I started to think about other personal insights I've gleaned from that section. I'm not referring to hubs themselves, but to the Question and Answer part of hubpages.
Of course, I think none of us has changed our religious or political perspectives, but we might have gained a different perspective in other topic areas. Or maybe we HAVE changed in the former realms as well. I don't know.
I'm not talking about frustrations with opinions that are different than our own and stereotypical models that seem entrenched for us to believe of another. I'm referring to things we've learned about OURSELVES, i.e. what personal growth insights have we gained from that section? I feel there is something unique about that format that lends itself to finding out about ourselves through the dialog there.
I think I answered that question you are referring to. For the most part, I'm always learning from others. Even during debatable questions where someone jumps on another person and insists their opinion is wrong, I have learned stuff even from that. Is that what you mean?
HP tossed out my last question I posted there. Pretty sure the thing would have been a money maker, too. Oh, well.
I've decided to do a flounce and not post any more questions. And I'm going to mercilessly delete any of my existing questions that have had zero traffic for 30 days.
Flounce is only temporary until my next brainstorm.
Flounces are good. But to be honest, only French girls can really flounce with style.
That word really cracked me up when I first saw it here. It was some hubber making a grand exit awhile back. I don't remember who.
For a good flounce you really need a pony tail. Actually, a bustle helps too. Do you have either?
This is really turning into a free-association day for me. Your post reminded me of when I lived in San Francisco and saw a jogger. Female. Pony tail. Made my day.

All of us that have visited the question section know that much of the content there is of very questionable quality. It's difficult to see how many of the questions really contribute to the community or discussion on HubPages at all, ranging as they do from mediocre to banal.Of course, there are...

When I look at the questions section of hubpages I see pages and pages of silly questions. A lot of the time, when I click on "unanswered" or "latest" I see that the same person has asked ten or so questions in a row. I suspect that in most cases this is because of the fact that...

Has anyone else noticed a serious drop in quality among the Question portion of HubPages? For the past several weeks, nearly every question that is featured in the "my account" section has been ripe with misspellings and just contain a general lack of worth in my opinion. I feel the...

I think it would be nice if we could earn money from our questions here on hubpages. Still with the 60/40 split just like on our hubs. The only thing I would think would be people posting too many questions, so maybe implement a cap on questions ie 3-5 per day as long as they are not spammy. ...

I haven't seen a thread on this (feel free to post the link if there is).Hubpages will soon be giving ad share for questions. From the Hubpages weekly newsletter:While some of these Questions are winning prize money, all of them will soon be able to bring additional ad revenue to the people who...

To date, I have been denied permission to ask and/or answer questions because of revenge? mark downs by disgruntled hubbers. I get blocked for a while, then un-blocked, then blocked again. Also some of my Q&As are deleted by HP staff without notice or a chance to defend my position. The Q&A...
