What three positive things can you write down about yourself?

   The other day I was asked to write down three positive things about myself, three things that I know to be true.  I found it really hard and eventually wrote down three positive things that people have told me I am - hardworking, generous and thoughtful.  I was then asked if I agree with those three words and I said 'yes, I think so'.  If the question had been 'Write down three negative things about myself' that would have been so much easier.
   
   At home I decided to try to look at this in more detail and I wrote the alphabet down the page but found it very difficult to come up with one work for each letter.  Each time I looked at a letter of the alphabet - a negative word easily came to mind.
   
   What three positive things can you write down about yourself?  Three things that you know are definitely true?  Try not to think about what other people say about you...

      Wow, that's crazy that so many of us are like that. Makes us think twice about what we say to our kids concerning criticism etc.
      I can think of things, but as soon as I do, I give them... stipulations.
      I'm verbal, but I didn't attend much college.
      Ppl say they think Im in my early 30's all the time, but Im really 44.
      Ppl say Im a good mom, but I know all the mistakes I've made... ugh... now I'm depressed. lol
      I guess just as important as being able to think of positive things is being able to turn off the negative voices completely. No judgmental after thoughts.

         That reminds me of the Dorothy Law Nolte Poem from way back:

         With what is your child living?
         
         Judging by the lack of replies it seems other people find it hard to be positive about themselves.  Which is very interesting, especially on a site like this - I agree with you that we need to turn off our negative voices and not be judgmental.
