It's me again...
I have GA up and running (apparently) because the link is active in my account view...and, I've been there before and looked through it.
Now, however, when I click on it, it takes me to a page that wants me to sign up!!! What's going on, here?
There is nowhere on that landing page that allows me to type in the ID and password I was using...and the generic "one ID for all of Google products," (i.e., Blogger, YouTube, Gmail, etc.) does not include analytics as a selection when you get to that landing page!!!
Grumble, grumble! Do I have to sign up all over again, and if so, what will that do to my stats, since it is apparently already enabled on the HP side--that's where I clicked the link!
I've not used it much, anyway, because I don't really understand what it's showing me, but I thought I'd have another look-see. ...
Also, I can't find the keyword tool anymore... pfft.
To sign in to Google Analytics you go to he earnings page on HP and scan down until you see Google Analytics. Click on the 'Reports' and sign in with your regular name and password.
When you get onto the page move the page to the right and you will see 'Admin' at the top. Click on this and when you go to another page you will then see a column named 'Hub Pages'. Move the page down so that you see the entire list. There is AdSense Linking (which I believe is only used when you are setting up) and change history which shows you more data.
Meaning my Hub Pages name/password, or my Google one? (I tried the latter, and it did not work--wanted my to sign up.)
I was on the earnings page, and did click the link...that was how I got to needing to enter a password.
For any Google product, including Analytics, you use your Google password and name (preferably a gmail account).
Ugh--it didn't work. I can't get in. I will have to try again under my former e-mail....because I did change it a while back...
Your Google email name and password - you should be in a Google window. Google has changed their 'sign in' process to one window for all of their accounts.
You may be surprised to hear me say this, but I don't understand Google Analytics. They've changed the set up several times over the years, each time becoming less and less user-friendly.
The only reason I look at it these days, is to compare my traffic with previous periods. I don't use it to try to work out search terms, because all it's telling you is what people are already using to find your Hubs, so how does that help?
Anyhow, if you want to use it and are having trouble finding it, one way to access it is to sign into your "one ID" Google account first, then do a Google search for "Analytics".
The keyword search tool is part of Adwords, not Analytics.
Lizzy, once I got to the page, I created a shortcut on the desktop. You never have to mess with those steps.

I went to sign up for analytics... using the account I already have with them... and I was referred to html code that they tell me I have to embed in my pages. No other code is sent to me. There is no code in my affiliate setting. Also... Adsense still has a sign up next to it. I...

The tracking ID is no longer in the UA-123456-1 format but a GA4 format. See Google Analytics Support website article entitled ([UA→GA4] Data collection and tagging) that discuss this. I could have added a link but didn't want my account closed. Until HubPages changes the format, my account...
