Hello everyone, I have been writing on Hubpages for roughly 6 months. Anyways, I have achieved my goal of making the Ad program payout monthly plus more. Instead of writing a hub about how I did it, let me ask the community some questions about their struggles and problems they meet while trying to get traffic or getting minimum payout.

I would like to help this way by answering any questions or concerns about traffic. If you have time, please do reply to the following questions:

    1) What is the most problematic thing or things about writing on Hubpages?

    2) If you could wave a magic wand, what problem on Hubpages would you like to be gone?

    3) What beliefs do you have about getting traffic to Hubpages?

    4) Is there anything else?

    Thanks for the input!

      Hello Hikapo,

I am going through unanswered forums and came across your post. I, for one, could use help with traffic. I'm trying, but am not an aggressive marketer.

The biggest problem I probably have now is with my browser, which is no longer as compatible with the Hub Pages program. While little can be done about this, I am patient enough to weather the setbacks when creating and editing hubs.

Probably my next big problem is writing things that interest people. I tend to be idealistic and a perfectionist. These traits, I believe, do not appeal to many people, and my page views show it.

I have written over 50 hubs, unpublished a couple dozen, and have been on Hub Pages nearly two years. Current earnings are only about $10 total, averaging only 45 cents per month.

I've come a long way, but could use a few tips about improving traffic.

Thank you for any time you care to spare. Blessings!

        Hi Marie,

Can you use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome? Those are much better for HubPages.

I looked at your writing and you have great writing skills. The only thing is to find what you and your audience have in common.

For example, for Korean Ginseng Tea, you can change the title to something like:

best korean ginseng tea to buy/taste/try
korean ginseng tea review by a tea enthusiast
        top 10 korean ginseng tea

These will give you a better chance to rank other long tail keywords.

The key is to find what people search for in Google, ideally you will want to find something you are remotely interested in:

        I see you like Quilting.

So try some long tail keywords about Quilting:
where to find good quilting supplies
        quilting guide for beginners

Since I don't operate in the Quilting niche, so my keywords will be lacking. However, you can also find "slang" terms in the quilting industry that you can put in the google keyword tool to find some real gems to write about.

Let me know if you need more help!

Thank you for the helpful tips, Kikapo. I am beginning to use tag words when I set up the hub, and then change the title after I've done that. I'll keep working with these.

Google Chrome slows down my whole PC (I'm on wireless), so I'll have to bear with the inconveniences. The new hub I'm starting today seems easier, though. Perhaps it's because I re-added a Google+ account.

I'll refer back to these tips from time to time. Blessings and thanks!
