I wrote a very short hub on an issue. But I made the title really bad and yet it went through.
Now please somebody explain how a hub on "rape of the language" gets banned but this goes through and gets this message:

A link to your Hub: Death to America
    Dear Ericdierker,
We wanted to let you know that Death to America has the opportunity to become Featured! Featured Hubs are showcased on Topic Pages and Related Hubs listings. They are also made available to search engines. We want your Hub to succeed and strongly recommend dusting it off and making a few improvements so that it meets our quality standards.
The perks of a Featured Hub don't end at increased visibility online. Featured Hubs are likely to be more successful over the long run when it comes to traffic, earnings, and augmenting your personal online brand.
How can you improve your Hub? High-quality Hubs are original, long form, and media rich. For starters, check out our Learning Center entry on How to Improve the Quality of a Hub for detailed tips, helpful links, and before/after example Hubs that demonstrate the power of editing!
Thank you for taking the time to update and improve your work!
    Cheers,
    The HubPages team

That is the msg. they send out each time your hub is not featured. It's a nice way of saying, "Hey, it's not featured, but it could be if you fixed it."

My guess?  There are likely certain words that generate red flags in the computer algorithms.  Certain "offensive" words may not be offensive under other contexts, but. . .guess that's how ti goes.

To be honest, I don't even know how a Hub can be un-featured. Everything I've ever farted out, even a half-assed amalgam of frustration, has been featured since Day 1. I just figured it was a sign that it was done correctly, but I guess not.

I wish I had some advice, but I honestly have no idea what it even means.

A hub titled Death to America if written from the far any direction has the potential to be extremely controversial.  As such, it would also have the potential to generate thousands of Web hits and mega money. You may even get the attention of individuals from a number government agencies who wear black suits and sunglasses. Additionally you may be asked to go undercover to identify groups internal and external who reach out to you for the love of it. Anyone unusual in your driveway yet?

Another way to look at this situation:

Mr Dirker has not been heard. from for 8 hours.
That is 1/3 of a day Navaho time KeeMoSabe.

He has the word "die" in the middle of his Username.

He wrote a hub about Death of America not exactly The Star Spangled Banner.

One of his recent hubs was called How to beat your wife and get a way with it.

In Another he compared peace and piss

    Where is

    the Man from Uncle

    when you need him?

    Mr Dirker:

    What's your line?

    Have You Got a Secret?

Do we need to Get Smart?

Do you need to: Tell The Truth?

Answer per the Title of this forum.

You challenged me to fun earlier today.

Did A Funny Thing Happen To You On The Way to The Forum Today?

    It did to me!

It's a matter of perspective Eric.Apparently you see America as a good place to be.But with a little study I think you might see things differently.I would suggest starting with the Gulf War, then to the massacre and gassing of babies in Waco Texas; then work your way back to Diego Garcia,Vietnam, the Civil Rights Movement of the 60's; then to the lynching of African and European Americans during Jim Crow and beyond. Of course don't forget my people.Over 100 million "savages" were either outright murdered or succumbed to the smallpox virus that was imported from Europe; after which, all of our land and resources were stolen.Of course we don't even count because we were simply an annoying impediment to Manifest Destiny.I think your title went through because it is a good title.According to the Bible,Jesus obviously feels the same way,I just hope I am here to see it.

This heavy handed derogatory comment is most appreciated. We must confront our past to be better today.

This is why I prefer Hubpages over other brands. This site seems to attract a class of people who are talented enough to slap you in the face and then make you feel good about being slapped! I'm sure you get paid well Eric, I would hire you.

Thank you Mr Biscuit for demonstrating how a post about Death to America may receive multitudinous, thought provoking and meaningful, responses from the far everywhere and thus be a perfect storm for us and our sponsors to reek the far flung benefits of the free enterprise system  that exists within the micro culture of the HubPages Planet and the macro-culture that we live in, beyond.
