What were the most hateful and negative comments you have received regarding your hubs and forum posts?

I don't remember I sure aren't going to go and look them up.

It's a new year, onwards and upwards.

@ Psycheskinner, I really wish I was like you and admire you so much. Even I remember that someone slaughtered you here and you chose to just put it past you. Thumbs up cool

As for me, I remember them and am working past them as well, but some are hard to swallow. I have basically been trampled on a few times but I guess my personality may have provoked those negative responses.

It can get pretty nasty around here.  But I also see people like you and relache and Marcy and Luis and many others taking the time to give people the best help and support you can,  and ultimately that is why I keep coming back and spending time here out of all the forums the internet has to offer.

Same reason for me. Try not to forget that you too offer good advice and often very good reasoning as well.

I got one pretty nasty comment.  However, I was more annoyed because the person who wrote to couldn't write worth a damn.  They made so many errors that it was hard to determine what they were trying to say!

Getting negative or nasty comments by people I don't know doesn't phase me at all. I've had some, but the really nasty ones are usually from guests.

There were very few; and I don't remember what they were in detail. But, they were ALL from hubpages members, not guests!

I've had a few that were hard to swallow. By the next day I have them forgotten.

I don't recall getting anything hateful or negative for my hubs but I did get some nasty comments that went into spam that were directed at me and my friend and had nothing to do with the hub content.

In the forums...nothing major, because I refuse to be drawn into pointless forum pissing matches. If someone goes nuts on me, I usually have a good chuckle and walk away.  Someone once did tell me I was "acting like a child" because I was "being snarky" (i.e. I wasn't agreeing with them or telling them exactly what they wanted to hear), but that's about as bad as it's ever gotten.

On Hubs, I've had some angry Guns N Roses fans tell me what an a**hole I am for not recognizing the genius of the "Chinese Democracy" album in the comments of my Hub about it. I also had a fan of a certain movie I reviewed negatively tell me that since I didn't like this particular film, I was obviously an idiot and I had no right to be reviewing any films whatsoever. (though he used much harsher language than "idiot" if you catch my drift). I found both instances utterly hilarious. I have never understood the whole keyboard-cowboy, "Someone is WRONG on the INTERNET and MUST BE STOPPED!" mindset that some people have.

I don't think I've had any that are really bad. Perhaps I am not provocative enough, and don't express strong opinions.
About the worst I can think of, is a few people calling me an idiot in  response to my hub about why Americans don't use metrics-- but that was only because the missed the irony or humor that was intended.
I have since learned to use disclaimers.

I have had some ugly ones but my content lends itself to people making nasty remarks. I view it sometimes as a compliment because they took the time to write.

I deserved it because I was picking fights in the forum and saying riled-up things without thinking, but one Hubber kept trying to condescend to me by calling me "Little girl" which was more than mildly irritating to say the least.

I of course was "completely mature" about it and reciprocated with "old man" or something idiotic of that nature.

All I can remember are a few blunt responses. Those kind are pretty tame, and being blunt isn't bad. It was constructive criticism. I avoid responding to trolls.

gmwilliamsposted 10 years agoin reply to this

Well, there are trolls who keep posting comments which are deleted; however, it does NOT deter them in the least.  They feel that it is THEIR right to incessantly return to ONE'S hub to post their comments.  They even become incensed when their comments aren't posted.  There is ONE who returned 5 times, asking why wasn't THE COMMENT posted?  Please get a LIFE!

I can't recall any hateful comments, but if there were, they roll off my screen.  I don't let someone's opinion get to me.

That's RIGHT, DELETE and  BLOCK.  Some people are obviously miserable with their lives so they go on the internet and .....BULLY!
