Does the following statement on the future fit with your philosophy?

   The Future is simply a set of possibilities whose probability of occurring is equal to the intersection of past events plus a random factor.  The Past is simply the observable result of which possible Future event occurred.  Now is the unobservable Future possibility turning into the observable Past event.
   
   And, no Future possibility has either a zero or a 100 percent chance of becoming the Past.

      After I digested this statement, I realize it fits within my belief system quite nicely. I do not believe in predestination, but that we, both as individuals and as mankind create our own future. For example, the creation of the United States as a sovereign nation was a creation of conjoined will. I have a secure future ( as secure as any American's can be, that is) because I created it.
      On the other hand, I look back at my past and see the results of what was at one time the future I was making plans for. Sometimes living in the now waiting for the plans to jell was difficult.  I think that the most difficult part of life is living in the now, and that is why we are so encouraged to savor the moment, or as one esoteric group defines it, "enjoy the ride."

            Very true, but that came at midlife. I used to live only in the now until I realized that one day I might be old and hungry if I didn''t change my thinking.

      Nope!  This statement fits:
      - "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and He shall bring it to pass."
      
      I couldn't make up a better philosophy for my future, so i use this one.  This one is very idealistic which suits my personality because I am a very idealistic person, plus I believe in a trustworthy Higher Power, gives me hope, and it sounds pretty.

      The future is already set and exist in the now.
      To some, as a possibility,
      To others, as an impossibility.
      Because of the instability of such a state, the Future which is actually now, will always remain elusive.
      
      To the one which possesses stability, the future does not exist merely as an expectation, but as a declaration.

         But Kess, isn't your second and third sentence contradictory, given the the first sentence?  Stated another way, if a future event is an impossibility, say robbing a bank, then, by definition, it isn't the future ... it simply doesn't exist.

            You have read it incorrectly.
            
            Example.
            I say I shall not die to a group.
            
            Some think it is possible so I will wait and see.
            Others say that it's impossible so they will wait and see also.
            
            These do not possess the future in the now, so they will speak as they do.
            
            But another say ,  yea I too shall not die.
            
            This one is in possession of the future in the present, so he is not expecting any thing in the future which is not already in the present.
            
            Try to understand, it will worth your while.

   Yes.  Past events set the scene, but there is a wibble factor.  Quantum uncertainty, maybe free will.

   Things that actually happen then become past events.  Check.

   Yes.
   
   "And, no Future possibility has either a zero or a 100 percent chance of becoming the Past."
   
   Disagree.  Some things have zero possibility of happening.  Myself turning into a unicorn and going to live on Mars being an example.
