How is it possible for me to have a HubScore of 91+ in 3 days?

   I see Hubbers all around this website, with scores in the low to high 80s who have been on this website for a lot longer than I have. Is my HubScore a fluke or just good content? I'm just posting this topic because I feel like other Hubbers are possibly being unjustly rewarded for their efforts, while I can strole in here and, according to the 'system' be a better hubber. I know that HubScores are not the be all and end all, but I just wonder about them sometimes...

      I think comments play a great part of hubscores. I have a low hubscore for months but I don't care as it doesn't really affect my adsense earnings

         My overall hubscore isn't all that high...mid-70s, but I have two hubs that can't seem to get out of the 60s range.  S'okay, though.  I don't know that comments really have all that much to do with it (although I'm sure they count for something) -- one of my most-viewed hubs has no comments at all and that's consistently one of my higher-scoring hubs.  I think views have more to do with it than comments do.
         
         Author scores, on the other hand, are a complete mystery to me.  I don't post to the forums a whole lot and I've only got 9 hubs over the two months I've been here and yet my author score tends to remain in the 90s while there are other posters with more hubs, more fans and more posts who aren't scoring any higher.
         
         In the end, I don't know that the scores make a whole lot of difference.  What you want is to be read....and read and read and read.  And it doesn't hurt if a reader or two checks out an ad or three.
         
         That's what really counts.

            Exactly-- I couldn't agree more. I don't pay much attention to my hubscore and I really don't understand it, but I love checking the" my account" page to see how many people have looked at my hubs and I love getting comments. I love logging on and browsing other people's hubs and leaving comments too. Hubpages feels(among other things) like my own personal online writers group. I value the feedback enormously. I'm also really impressed by the hubpages staff and how they interact with the community.
            
            My hubscore( the author score, I think)seems to vary between 93 and 96--but the cumulative hubscores of my individual hubs as shown on my account page, hovers in the high seventies.   None of the 11 hubs I have written has achieved a great score---one had a score of 91 for about five minutes and then fell back into the mid 80's--they fluctuate a lot from day to day--some days there is rising traffic, some days falling. Some days lots of views from within hubpages, other days more search engine traffic.  Today they all have little blue arrows :-(  Tomorrow the arrows may be red.....whatever.  Writing again and getting read is the thrill for me

   The average Hub score factors in - with a small number of Hubs it is easy to keep your average score high. The more you have, the more likely you have some that score lower.
   
   I have half a dozen poetry ones that languish in the 50s and 60s, and I know if I added more words to them the scores would go up, but that's how long the poems are and I'm a bit of a purist.
   
   I also have some Hubs on obscure topics that don't get much traffic, and traffic affects the Hubscores, too, especially outside (esp search engine) traffic. It seems that very few people do Google searches for the Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster, for example - go figure.
   
   I'm not writing just to maximise the score on each Hub, though, and I keep the lower scoring ones around for other reasons.
   
   They do pull down my average Hub score, though. It's only 69 at the moment.

   I find it interesting that Inspirepub says that her average score is 69, and her hubscore is 90, whereas my current average score is 66 but my hubscore is 94. That doesn't sound fair to me - her hubscore should surely he higher than mine, not lower?

   Seems like a complex method to calculate the HubScore. I guess I will be just viewing mine and not figuring out how to obtain it lol.
