Switching Over to the New Amazon

    I have been reluctant to switch to the new Amazon, but I might do it now.

    I forget what someone said before. Do we need to have a zero balance on the old Amazon so we don't lose money when switching to the new Amazon?

    What is the difference in % commission? Anyone know?

      If you have yet to meet the payout minimum for the direct Amazon affiliates program, then you may want to wait until you have done so to switch to the HubPages run program.

      Your old Amazon account is your personal account and it will continue to exist.  It will not be not affected in any way, shape or form by signing up for the new one. 

      However, if you're not using your personal account on any other sites, it will stop earning.  If you haven't already reached the payout threshold, you won't be able to collect what's sitting in your account.  So yes, you need to reach the threshold before you switch.  But don't wait till you have a zero balance in your payment history, because you'll already be earning for the following month.   Wait until you can see you've earned enough to get paid, then switch.
