What happens if I click on the Google share button on one of my hubs? Does it go to all of my G followers or does it post on my G wall for all to see? I'm not active on my Google+ account and think I may be missing out on opportunities to increase my traffic.

      Hi jan,

It goes to your homepage and then there will be two green buttons.  One states "Public" which I am assuming all can see it on your homepage, and the other states "Share" which I am assuming it is shared with all those who follow you.

      I think it does help.

Thanks, Faith, I clicked the green share button. Haven't checked stats yet to see if it made a difference. Thank for your help.

Hi Jan I am a member of Google+ and I use that. I click the share button and it shows up on my profile page  there for all of my G+ followers/G+ circle members to be able to see but nobody else. Public means that it is available for anyone to view, whether they are a member or not.

Thanks, Kevin. I tried another hub with the "public" button but nothing happened. So I clicked "share." I think I set it for followers only. I'll make time to get used to using it.

If you ever want to start adding friends/acquaintances Jan (such as other Hubbers), I will explain how to do that.

I think it's just for people to follow you on Google + but I don't believe it works for you to do it yourself. You can put your own hubs on your Google+ by having a Google+ button on your toolbar.

That is right moonlake, I also have it on my blog.

You can share your hub with the new Google+ button on the hubs. I just tried it and it worked. I was thinking you were talking about the Google+ on your profile. Sorry I can be a ding-a-ling sometimes.

The G+ on my profile leads to my Google+ site. The 'Website' button on my profile is to my blog.
I was simply talking about the G+ button on the HP Hub page which Jan was asking about.

Oh Jan..I thought your question was about the G-spot. Gosh darn it.
As to Google, I am not sure I'd trust them to feed a dead canary. Wish I could be more helpful on advice sad

Ha ha ha, bethperry. I initially thought of phrasing it that way but thought I'd get banned, LOL! It would have been a nice attention-getter. Thanks anyway. smile

Thanks, word, somebody will shed light on what's probably very simple. I just don't have a clue. I don't want to click on it without knowing what I might get.

Hi Jan. I think it goes onto your Google+ home page and is shared with any of your followers who have notifications set. I have recently joined a number of G+ Communities, two of which are associated with Hub Pages, so it is a good extra method of sharing your articles and getting more traffic.

Thank you so much, Jodah. I'm going to try one right now and see how it fairs tomorrow. Then I'm going to bed!

I've used G+ for some time now and have increased my traffic.  I use both 'share' and 'public'.  You do need to join G+ in order for this to work for you.  Good luck!

You can use the g+ when you write your hub, and it will take your link to your Google page where you can see it and click share and public. You can also click on followers and/or following. I just figured this out recently.
