Surprisingly Weekend Traffic Now Does Better Than Weekday

   Not sure exactly why, but nowadays my weekend traffic to Hubs does better than weekday traffic.  Has anyone else seen this?  Perhaps people are sitting on beaches during the weekends looking for something to read?

      When I used to have more Hubs I often saw more traffic on weekends or holidays (and for some reason on Wednesdays), and I thought it was because any readers I'd get tended to have to have time off in order to have time for the kind of writing I most often did.  That was a long time ago, though.  Somewhere along the way Saturday turned into the worst day pretty much every week.   I don't recall when, exactly, that was - or how long it lasted.  (Of course, so much has gone on I'm kind of thinking I could have that wrong - but I don't think so).

   Traffic remains better for me between Monday and Friday. Weekends continue to be a little of a drag. How I hope readership evens out over time.

   Yep, I don't see that at all.  My traffic bottoms out on Saturday for the week usually, picks up a bit on Sunday, but is heaviest throughout the week.

      That was the pattern that I witnessed for a long time here at HP.  Saturday was very quiet, with a slight pick up on Sunday.  A while back, I asked about this, and someone mentioned writing some Hubs that appeal to things people do on weekends.  I followed that advice and it appears to be paying off.  The other thing I credit for it is all the pinning I have done at Pinterest.  Seems like I get some nice activity from Pinterest over the weekend.  Perhaps people want to do light things on the weekend like look at nice picture on Pinterest and then some click on my Hubs.

   If you stay with this site long enough and have a large enough pool of Hubs, over the years you'll wind up seeing just about any specific time period take a turn at being your most prolific traffic-wise.

   Quieter at weekends.  This is brilliant because the week is so absolutely useless - being able to detect a drop in traffic gives me some ridiculous pleasure.
   
   My big regret at the moment is that I get ANY traffic at all.  I would quite like Google to shut me down completely and then I can stop bothering with it.  I look at each new low with this recently acquired optimistic slant.
