Accused of duplicate content -- what do I do?

   This has got to be the stupidest question ever.
   So I got a notice on my latest hub titled
   "My Dragonfly and I" stating that a large portion of the content seemed to be copied from other sites.
   Well, the primary part of this hub is an original POEM which I wrote (note the copyright symbol).
   
   I did include a text box of Dragonfly Symbology which I did copy from another site. I fully credited the other site as the source.
   
   So -- what's the problem?
   
   And more to the point, how do I email the team@hubpages?
   I could not find the link on the site from which to do this.
   Sorry to be so retarded. I have a LOT going on in my personal life and this was totally unexpected and seemingly random.

   Hey MM- the FAQ says to click the 'learn more' button at the top of the page if your stuff is your own.
   And the only email addy I could find was this one--

   If it's original and yours, ignore them. Or tell them to take it up with HubPages Inc themselves.
   
   The only person who can lodge a DCMA is the copyright holder.

   I had this happen with my second one. The flag was because I'd part published the hub elsewhere ages ago. It's as others have said - so don't sweat it.
   
   Incidentally I logged a DCMA yesterday. I noticed that the site had a few hub articles on there. It was flixya. I'm pretty sure that, like mine, the articles don't belong to the account holder.
   
   Anyway the site reacted PDQ and erased mine.

   Thanks, friends. I revised the part of my hub that included the copy I'd "borrowed but cited" from another web site.
   I think it will be ok.
   But I just go into my regular email account and email the team?
   That seems really dumb to me?
   Shouldn't there be a button here on the HP site from which we can contact admin team?
   As I said, my question was going to be really, really DUMB.

      The thing to remember is that "duplicate" doesn't mean "plagiarised".  They're just telling you it's duplicated elsewhere, and that's going to impact your earnings - because Google penalizes duplicated content, regardless of whether it's legitimate or whether it's properly cited.  If you're not here to earn money, then don't worry about it.
      
      
      I suppose they could have a contact form, like they do when you contact another Hubber.  But the reason we contact other Hubbers  via a form is to protect their email address.  The HP team isn't coy about their email address, so you can just email them like any other person - which means you also have a copy of what you sent, and that can be handy.

   I have had the same problems.  Sent an email, got a reply three weeks later.  I sent a reply, nothing now for a month.
   
   Don't sweat it.  Mine are all original and published here first.  Later I published them elsewhere.

       That has been my problem always. After taking effort in publishing an article you'll find out later it says this hub has a duplicate content and so I just unpublished it cause I just don't know what will be the consequence if I insist on publishing that hub.
