Let's talk about the end credit scene to "Guardians of the Galaxy"

   As many of you probably know, "Howard the Duck"  appeared in the very last end credit scene for "Guardians of the Galaxy."  My question to you all is...what the hell could this all mean?  Do you think Marvel Studios is setting up a reboot to the "Howard the Duck" franchise down the road when it comes to movies?
   
   Or do you think it was nothing more than a harmless cameo to entice old fans that grew up in the 80's like myself?   what are your thoughts?

   I haven't seen the film or the scene in question but of course I've heard about it (in the Internet Age, nothing secret stays "secret" for long)... as one of the few who actually liked the Howard The Duck movie (even if it it's for all the wrong reasons) I think it's great that HTD is finally getting some long overdue cinematic redemption after all these years.

      So would you be in favor of Marvel giving his own movie again?  Or do you think he should join the Guardians of the Galaxy team?

         Considering the lingering hatred over the first film, Giving HTD another solo movie would likely prove to be financial suicide, it'd be like John Travolta making a sequel to "Battlefield Earth."
         
         Howard's not exactly a "team" player either so I don't think he'd make a very good addition to the Guardians... Howard would probably blow cigar smoke in Rocket Raccoon's face and Rocket would kick his ass.

            True, the first film was a financial disaster, and it wasn't embraced by most people.  However, that's not stopping Hollywood from trying to get a He-Man and "Dungeons and Dragons" films off the ground as we speak.  But, I can see what you're saying.
            
            I'd love to see Howard in the Guardians of the Galaxy purely for that reason, as I think it would be cool if him and Rocket duked it out.  Or see how Howard would deal with Thanos (assuming he's in the next one).
            
            You know it did occur to me.  Right now Marvel is planning on releasing a slew of shows on Netflix  Perhaps they could give Howard the Duck his own show on Netflix if they wanted to.  Or maybe even on ABC to go along with "Agent Carter" and "SHIELD."   what do you think?

   I skipped over everything after you said there were spoilers cause I haven't seen it yet, but I am a HUGE Chris Pratt fan... just adore him! I can't wait to see the movie with the kids.

   I would totally watch a "Howard" TV series... as long as it was more faithful to the comic series than the movie was.

         I doubt a "Howard" series would pull in enough viewers for a big network like ABC. Netflix would probably be a better place.
