I have been relatively inactive on Google +. I may have posted 15 posts across 6 communities. Yet they are telling me my posts have had 500,000 views. Wow - that does not translate into HP views, but perhaps if I worked it more, it could.
What are your experiences with Google +? I have been playing around with it the last week to see if I could generate some traffic from them. My earliest posts were made and forgotten by me a few months ago.
What is the value of links from Google+, does Google want to give them more credit? Some of the communities in my pet niche are very active with 100K plus members.
My approximate views on Google+ is 28,070 views but I believe that is profile views. That doesn't mean that those that visited my profile actually clicked on any of my links. I don't remember if I shared any of my hubs on Google+ though. Have to look into it. Might help with traffic. I wonder though if we can check to see if any traffic is coming from Google+.
If you have Google Analytics running you can see it there. They show up as plus.url.google.com. If you don't have analytics running you can check the stats page on each hub you shared, and see if that shows up under total page views.
I got 2 views from Google plus last night. Checking some of the other hubs I shared, I see 2 or 3 referrals from Google Plus for each of them over the last week. I'll take any I can get. lol
Some of these niche communities are slow to add posts, so I expect my post to stay visible for a while. I am going to keep at it and see if that helps my credit with Google as a whole. It does not require much effort.
Hi, Solaras.
I logged in myself just five minutes ago. I made the profile many moons back, so I thought I'd check see if it was still there.
55,000 views on my profile page and I had no content up at all. Now I do.
Also added a few communities in my niche, and even found a Hubpage Authors Community. They allow you to post your content on their page. Just go to your profile - communities, and then do a search for hubpages.
My profile is really bare atm, but I'm going to put some effort into it through the weeks and build it up slowly, and see what comes of it.
There is also What The Hub? on Google+ and Facebook - another place to post if you have social friendly hubs.
I really had not done much there until a week ago. I am joining niche communities and getting likes on the articles I post there, but don't know if anyone actually reads them. I figure Google must appreciate it, and it is building some new backlinks.
I am new to it all; so I will keep you posted on my results! Thanks for the heads up on the Hubpages communities!
Too easy! Often on social media, people are very visual and will like things without reading them through in entirety. But gaining likes and awareness is all a part of it, so don't worry too much about whether they read from social media or not - if they really want to they will read, if not, you might get a Google+ vote which gives you link juice. You'll notice better results using social media rather than not. And it's fun!
I am not even sure what Google+ does! I think I have an account. Will have to check it. Do you use it to promote your writing? Again, thanks for the heads up. I will check out!
Google+ is sort of like FB. You share posts in the same way and people who are connected to you will see them and maybe actually go and read them. It can help bring traffic to your hubs.
Google+ gives you link juice, from what I have read, more than FB likes.
As of this moment in time, Stardate 08.16.24, my stats on my Google+ page shows: 784 followers|96,811 views.
What 784 people are viewing certainly is not all my shares...well at least not clicking in on them here, my blog or elsewhere. I get very little traffic from that source.
I do feel the links are worth the small amount of effort however. Any views are always welcome.
What would be ideal if is each one of those 96,811 views had turned into clicks!

Well, its official, my hubs are all down about 39%. Strangely enough my profile views are up to 40%. This is very odd cause usually my profile views are never that high. Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe its just random.

I have a couple of niche Blogs on BLOGGER that i have kept up for years. They include some content that is relatively old, but it is informative, thus according to Google, useful and valuable. But, I ran a little test over the past couple of months.I worked on a number of my posts in two of the...

Hello Everyone. I have a question that I'm hoping some of you with experience can help me with. Two weeks ago I built this new profile to cover a niche topic that I know quite a lot about and go along with my budding YouTube Channel. I'm trying to create quality hubs focusing on 1300+ word articles...

I am experiencing an overall average off 66 percent less page views per day, for seven days versus a week previous and for the past two months. Such a huge drop in page views makes me think that Google has tuned up something again. I do know that I don't have the time and energy to keep...

Hi, I currently have 4 hubs posted and I am literally not getting ANY traffic. I got maybe 10 views on the days I published a hub and then nothing. For today I have 0 views. This is very depressing for me to be honest in trying to continue on with this site. Is it normal to get 0 traffic until you...

Is it possible that, even when a Hub is in Idle Status, it could still be found on the Web and get views and thereby come out of Idle Status? I ask this because I was searching the Web on a subject and accidentally found a Hub and when I checked the Hubber's profile, this particular Hub was not...
