Not Published For Content - In Need of Assist

    Hi Hubbers,

    My health article was unjustly not published because apparently HubPages thinks kegels balls are a bedroom device, and not an aid for a health condition. I was told it was a bedroom toy and my hub was explicit, although it was more delicate on the health topic than my "How to Cure Red and Itchy Vaginal Bumps" hub which had no problem getting published, and sees over 400 visitors a day. In what world is a woman's health issue lewd and obscene? As a healthcare worker, I am truly offended.

    To the point of this topic. Since HubPages will not publish my incredibly helpful article, can Google still crawl it to pick to up?

    I appreciate all of your help and feedback on this folks! I really do. My head is spinning in circles, and can't wrap around this one.

    HubPages does not think kegel balls are a bedroom aid.  It's just that they rely for their income on Adsense, and therefore they are very cautious about avoiding any subjects which may upset Adsense - which have, believe it or not, included articles on breast cancer and other sexual health issues. 

    Many people think HubPages is too cautious, and that they could afford to loosen up a bit - however, you can understand why they take that attitude.   Last year, another rev-sharing site lost its Adsense account because a member uploaded ONE photo which Adsense objected to.  Luckily they were able to get reinstated - but if they hadn't, the site would have folded and everyone would have suffered.

    There are plenty of other places to write on sexual subjects, and there are plenty of other things to write about on HubPages.

    That may be, but it really is a complete shame that womens issues can not be posted. They should be embarrassed.
