I wish there was a way to opt out of that strand of ads that appears near the bottom of my hubs. My hubs are conservative and written mostly for teachers and parents. Bare bottoms and couples making out are not relevant to my content. I would like them removed.
I think there is a way but I don't know how. Maybe someone who knows how will answer you.
I hope so too. I don't want to leave HubPages completely but these ads are not relevant to my content at all. I don't want to write a post about kids activities or Sunday School lessons and then have to look at someone's thong adorned behind when I get to the end. I don't want those ads associated with my content which has my name on it.
I'd wondered about the same thing, @Tina Truelove. I've just not had an oppo to search for the information to see if there's a solution.
I agree, and, I hope that admin takes the right steps to make this happen for you and me....
Me too. I have my Adsense ads filtered. Sometimes something gets through the filter but I haven't noticed anything particularly over the edge. Some of those ads at the bottom of the page could be categorized as soft porn. They are very offensive to me and I'm sure most of my readers as well.
Go to Earning Programs page
Go to Google Adsense Reports
Then to Allow and Block Ads
Then to Sensitive Categories
You can block or allow certain ads from there.
I did that when I first set it up. I never have issues on my blogs, only HubPages. I will double check my filters but I'm wondering if these ads are even Adsense ads. They don't have the appearance of Adsense. HubPages has their own ad program so I have to wonder if these inappropriate ads are coming from someone other than Adsense.
Have you written to Hubpages to ask them?

i've mentioned this before, but i just checked my 84 articles and a huge number of them have ads for 'filipina girls', 'sexy singles', etc. my articles are about gradening, food, travel and family topics - there are even two ads for sex on my article about 'webkinz'! I emailed the help...

I was just looking at my hub, http://hubpages.com/hub/Betsy-Dowdy-Loo … e-Treasure which is a kid's story, and see several inappropriate ads there. Who do I contact about changing them? I changed my groups around hoping to make it more clear the content is for children. Thanks for your...

Now don't get me wrong, I totally love writing on Hubpages and being a part of the Hubbing community, but I have lost a little heart recently when one hub of mine on "How to Improve Male Fertility" had the ads disabled based on automatic filters. This problem I reported in order to have...

I'd like to get some feedback from our authors on textlink ads. You've probably seen these on other sites. Usually they appear as double underlines under one or more phrases in the text of an article. When the viewer mouses over the phrase a small advertisement will float over the...

Initially perplexed and frustrated, I have quickly decided Hubpages have brilliant web content protection. They blocked a hub I started to write from generating advertising revenue. Why is this good? Well, as genuine as the hub was, relating to Christmas and presents and my teenage daughter, it was...
