I realize that the Allposters html for images will not work on Hubpages but are we allowed to put in the image with a live link under it so we are still able to use this program?

Many of the large posters provide a very decorative touch to the layout of a page and Allposters does pay a very high affiliate rate which can add up nicely over the Christmas season.

I sometimes use AllPosters.  You are limited to two links per Hub to that site.

Also, you can't use AllPosters' automatic link to upload a picture.  What you have to do is put the poster on your Hub as a regular image in a photo capsule.  Then, provide your affiliate link in an adjacent text capsule and be sure to check the box for "affiliate link."

I am also interested in this.  I cannot find the box to tick that says "affiliate link" Where would I look for this?

When you click on the link icon to insert a link, you'll find it at the top of the capsule:

You're welcome.  The reason it is important to identify it as an affiliate link is because then it will be a NoFollow link and in compliance with Google Webmaster Guidelines.  If you don't NoFollow advertisements and affiliates, it will hurt your Hub's rankings on search engine results.

Writer Fox Thank you so much for this information. Can you please explain how to link directly to the poster or is that possible?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean.  But, if you'll look at my Hub Titled "Poem about Peace" and scroll all the way to the bottom and find the capsule titled "Photo Credits", you'll see how I linked to All Posters for two photos using my affiliate links.

I see that you go directly to the page of the poster. What I am having trouble figuring out is how to get the link for the page while having our affiliate id also attached to it. Are you going through the TEXT LINKS section at allposters?

In the past I have just used image links from allposters.

If you don't violate the link rules, you should still be able to.

I didn't know that about the 'affiliate link' box.  Thank you!

I, too, don't see a checkbox with the affiliate link.  I put the link in the source link to the photo in most cases.  Then, I put something about it being available on Allposters.com.

The affiliate link option is not available in the photo capsule, but you can put a link there.  I'm wondering though, are you sure that your full affiliate link is displaying properly there?  You might click on that just to check.

I believe I did it right as it has my affiliate ID in it and counts as an impression on Allposters when I clicked on it.  I sure hope it's right.  I don't make many sales, but I have made at least one.

Did you put the affiliate link in the Photo capsule or in a text capsule?

In the photo capsule.  It's registering as a hit on my affiliate page when I click on it.

What I wound up doing was go into the Link builder - Build product links - found the poster I wanted and then opened up the new screen with the html. I then clicked on the small picture and the page came up. That url contains my affiliate id so I copied it and used it on hubpages as my link.

I saved the photo to my computer then put it into a photo module on hubs. I then opened up a text module and put a little blurb and my page link in there. And yep I checked the affiliate link box : )

I'm simply using the allposters affiliate link as the 'source' url for the picture. I doubt I'll make many sales, but it does seem the best way to do it.
