      Democracy is not about giving power to evil. It is about giving power to the people.
      Do the people want their power to be used for evil? No. Do the people want their power to be used to protect them? Yes.
      Are the government leaders fooling us? Are they saying they are trying to protect us? But, actually have ulterior motives?  Democracy can be used to vote them out when it is discovered they do not have the people's best interests at heart.
      
      Right?

         Do you really want me to answer your questions?
         Since you assume that we're bringing democracy in Iraq why is it that Sunni Muslims control the region with the Kurds? Why is it that we permitted the genocide of several existing tribes of Iraqis? Why is it that now we are exploiting Iraqi oil?
         It is time that the majority of hubpages' readers grow up and investigate more seriously instead of swallowing blindly what mainstream media says.

Massacres perpetuated by our mercenaries (Blackwater to cite one among 20 different mercenary armies), our army... We infiltrated ISIS on Iraqi soil. And, now, again we are attacking Iraqis...

                                       It is not enough to pick an article. You have to read and face it with the reality of our world. If it contradicts the reality then you can assume that it is disinformation. A plethora of books are advised, once again, you have to challenge your intellect, does it fit or not the US (to cite one but not the least) history, background, present time?
                                       What about questioning yourself? America wants and praises democracy whereas it doesn't even apply it domestically (why is that the US government decides to enter wars and not congress as stated by our constitution?) and internationally (international laws are scoffed at for instance, it is forbidden for any country to sell/give weapons to "Syrian rebels" for them to overthrow their government and in spite of it, we finance and funnel weapons terrorist groups...

                                                   Where do you think terrorists, weapons come from when referring to "Syrian rebels"? Which country in the middle east has a limitrophe frontier with Syria that makes my allegation possible? Is this country friend with the US? How do you see if a country is a friend? Presence of military bases, financing of the government...?

                                    What are you talking about? You are telling me that we went to Iraq with a flower in our mouths? Then read "Blackwater by Scahill" otherwise don't bother me with your version of facts. Go and convince people whose main source of information is like BethPerry, television.
                                    Fallujah and Basrah are examples of resistance against enemies. Whose country is it Iraqis or Americans? If suddenly America is invaded by Iraqi mercenaries and army you are telling me that you want resist? Talk for yourself then. Then, you are NOT a patriot.

                     If you get your news from a single former Congressman, wow. No, I don't suppose that suggests any insulated or agenda-soaked world view on your part at all. Sorry I can't be as broad-minded to rely on a single source. I'll have to stick with MSNBC, FOX, CNN, ABC, Yahoo News, Aljazeera and the BBC and use that awful thing called common sense in determining the accuracy of the news I see and read.

                        It is interesting to see that your source is mostly audiovisual that is to say a very effortless and biased source. Even Jazeera, the Qatari channel is a US vassal therefore not independent at all. I understand why you are so misinformed and uninformed.

                              It is a matter of effort. To question leads to search, search to findings, then again you question until it fits your logic, a logic. But without the use of knowledge and reason it is vain.
                              I can tell you that I wouldn't go to an audiovisual mainstream media. You have plenty of independent websites and books to read.

            Max I know you cite alternative news sources, but what are your sources for the claims that we supported the genocide of what tribes?
            
            And since most data available contradicts your claims of the U.S. exploiting and benefiting from Iraqi oil, what are your sources to the contrary? Everything I find cites China as the biggest Iraqi oil benefactor.

               Which data are they? Which source?
               Who is in Iraq since the assassination of Saddan Hussein? Is it the US or China? Who has military bases, mercenaries... in Iraq? The US or China? Let me guess again, you won't answer objectively because you will lose face.

President Barack Obama has authorized "targeted airstrikes" if needed to protect U.S. personnel from fighters with ISIS. The U.S. military also could use airstrikes to prevent what officials warn could be a genocide of minority groups by the ISIS fighters.
   August 19, 2014 - In a video posted on YouTube, U.S. journalist James Foley, missing in Syria since 2012, is decapitated by ISIS militants. The militants then threaten the life of another captured U.S. journalist, believed to be Steven Sotloff.
   September 2, 2014 - ISIS releases a video showing the beheading of U.S. journalist Steven Sotloff. Sotloff's apparent executioner speaks in what sounds like the same British accent as the man who purportedly killed Foley. He's dressed identically in both videos, head to toe in black, with a face mask and combat boots. He appears to be of similar build and height. He waves a knife in his left hand, as did the militant in the video of Foley's death.
   September 11, 2014 - The CIA announces that the number of people fighting for ISIS may be more than three times the previous estimates. At the end of the video, the executioner threatens the life of Alan Henning, another British citizen held captive.    It is impossible to calculate how many Iraqis Saddam killed, it is said he sacrificed 5 million in the war with Iran.
   This not to say the west had any reason to attack Iraq other than the oil and personal gain of Bush, Blair and the cronies from hell.

You understand why I can't believe you and it seems to me to be simple propaganda to have our agenda to move quicker in the daedal labyrinth of the legislative. And how many men is the US government sacrificing? It doesn't count? But, my problem is that contrarily to the Iraqis, they chose to fight, to be a soldier...

            Are you talking about the same Saddam Hussein that we advised and supported in his invasion of Iran? It needed an American meddling in the Iraqi affairs for Iraq to invade Iran, didn't it?
            Who told you that nobody was free in Iraq, our biased media? The same ones that said that there were weapons of mass destruction. I rest my case.
