It is an unfortunate fact that those who have (a lot of) money at their disposal ~ kind of 'rule' the world. It's a systemic problem, however, and we have no one to blame but ourselves as we find this system to be imperfect.
But sometimes 'sentience' can be more influential than money, it might even become more impactful than political power. If we think about it this way: It's 'people' (human beings who are on this planet) that are the source of 'energy' that upholds culture, monetary system, and that phenomenon that we term as 'the state', and so on.
And all these people are 'sentient' lifeforms: beings who possess the gift of awareness. The internet has done a tremendous job of connecting us at a 'singular frequency' of awareness, crisscrossing geographical distances.
And this movement of inter-connectivity would take more interesting and paradigm-shifting patterns as years go by. We might witness very interesting developments in future. All the man-made structures that we consider to be indispensable and inevitable now ~ might become weaker and even extinct ~ and 'the common blood of consciousness' that runs through us, might find a concordant expression, and become unified awareness.
And we might have the world ~ after all these centuries ~ as 'the pinnacle consciousness' really aspired it to be.
This is an interesting view point, but how can it be applied or used?
Or were you just revealing your view point?
As I see it ~ this 'movement' can not, and should not be 'forced' ~ it would come out as naturally as a flower blossoms in the morning. I'm optimistic, by the way, that this is going to happen. There is an incredible amount of striking precursors that we all have witnessed since the internet has taken off, like a rocket.
It's more difficult now, than ever, to play around people's ignorance about 'other' nations and cultures than their own. I find it a very powerful example of the kind of influence the internet might leave upon the human consciousness. And it's a permanent 'internal' transformation. I'm certainly not saying that the US and Canada would join and become a part of European Union because of the success of Google and Facebook ~ that doesn't make sense. But it's true, however, that Google, Facebook, Twitter and all these tools have already made it difficult for corporations and political machines to operate their schedules as easily as they did before, during the pre-internet era.
This trend will continue to flourish, and it's quite difficult to predict how it will affect and shape the world within the next few centuries. Actually, we don't know what changes it might bring even within the next 5 years.
I think over time we will see positive change. In the short run we'll see serious growing pains. The internet is a double edged sword. Information flows between us but disinformation flows as fast. Also, as individuals we may have better access to how others think and feel but I don't see where that has made a positive influence in the betterment of life for others. We hear, we sympathize. Perhaps we empathize. But this is not followed up with decisive action. We talk. And talk.
Also, homogenizing humanity may not be in anyone's best interest. And that is what it boils down to, in some ways. All of like mind, to some extent. Boiling unique thoughts of individuals down to a simplified, unified, whole

What are the "man made structures?" Should they come down, in your view?
Why?
If any of us were to visit earth as 'aliens' ~ we might find the world (the man-made world) to be quite confusing to our tastes. Here you have an 'intelligent' species which is divided in so many 'myriad' intelligent ways ~ which is ultimately affecting their well being to the point of discomfort, disaster, and even (occasional) extinctions.
This species has created the phenomenon of 'nations', diverse set of religions to appreciate the same 'God', so many different cultures that contradict each other even to the point of negating each others' fundamental right of existence. This species is guided by words written on a book and this book may limit their expression, employment opportunities, economic regulation and the overall tone and quality of life. And this species has so many of such books scattered around that disqualify each others' essential validity.
There are innumerable 'laws' and codes of conducts.
Missiles and atomic weapons that are never used but are always under development (by the virtue of tremendous monetary investments that might have have made everyone's life a bit better) and showcased to the 'potential' enemies.
The 'aliens' might decide to leave this planet immediately. If they were forced to live in this world ~ they might have used the internet to break down these artificial barriers.
We are (all) 'aliens' when we first step into this world.
Oh no, the aliens from their perfect and drab world love to come here… with so many choices! Just ask one.
They might find this world to be kind of a Disneyland. And we don't 'stay' at Disneylands. We go there to have a rapid experience of all sorts of diverse activities that we know we would enjoy.
We are not enjoying this 'Disneyland world' as much as we should. We need the internet to reset and reconfigure the Disneyland.
That's how I see it.
Well, the way I see it, is you can create your own world. just start.
or you can leave.
There is a way to get out of here. Just like there is a way to create what you want.
This is reality based on the facts as I perceive them.
I've just 'seen' it the way that you see it. I appreciate, and agree.
There lies a greater wisdom behind and beyond these statements of yours. Something about 'objective reality' and 'viewpoints' - and their co-relations.
Thank you for sharing.
The good thing about the 'aliens' is that they are ever-learning and ever-adaptable. :-)
