On several occasions I have responded to a thread (usually those that have not been answered) and go back and check to see if there has been any follow up other than the reply I posted and the threads have disappeared.
When I click on "Latest Activity" and then "yours" the posts are not there.
An example is a question that was asked earlier today, I do believe, about how do we find our views that come from Twitter. I responded with where that information could be found and went back to look a couple of hours later and the thread is gone.
Is this when the OP removes the thread? Is that possible to do so along with replies?
It could be a glitch. I posted a question the other day, along with a summary of what had happened to me. It was about three paragraphs. When I went to check if anyone had responded, I could not find the thread at all...nothing..zilch. I didn't bother re-posting because I'd lost the zeal to rewrite all that information.
HP likes to move things around to keep us on our toes.

Well shoot! Thanks!
It would seem that HP would still have it showing up in our recent activity! I propose that they remedy that so old folks like me don't think they are losing their memory!
Glad you found it, maybe my question is somewhere hidden as well!
I found it from the link paradigmsearch shared, but it still does not show as recent forum activity when I responded just now.
Not sure how paradigmsearch found it. Maybe doing a search. But I do know I still can not see it.
Sort of leaves me stumped for sure. Sorry to hear you have had an issue with your "own" post that you published.
Hopefully HP will check into this.
That was moved to Social Networking>Twitter, so you have to switch to 'topical forums'.
Okay, thanks for that. I always assumed that when you view "all" forums that all would show up. It is getting complicated for me, lol.
Now to show my ignorance, how does one switch to "topical forums"?
Just remember you can always go to "my activity" on your profile page and go to anyplace you've been.
Where it says 'HubPages Official' in the left sidebar--above that is a button that says 'switch to topical forums'.
Thanks! I found it. Still wondering why it is not showing in my recent activity however.
You mean 'My Activity' on your profile page? Yes, I'd have thought it would show there.
No, on the forum latest activity, main page that comes up when we click "forums" but it does show there if I do the switch as you mentioned, but not unless I do that. I forgot about the profile recent activity. I checked and it is showing there.
They always show up for me in 'notifications', whether topical or non-topical.
I did not get a "notification" of the OP posting a reply in that thread, however I did not click on "follow" either, so that would explain that.
I find I'm following a thread automatically after replying to it.
That has never been the case for me recently. It seems like, some time back, that I was experiencing that, but I have not been seeing that recently. And then when I click "follow" many times I still do not get notifications. The only time recently that "follow" has been automatic and I get notifications is if I am the OP.
Strange. I can't find a setting anywhere that would affect that.
Are both these boxes checked and saved? http://hubpages.com/my/activity/forum-topics-following
You are the bundle of knowledge and solutions! I did NOT have the bottom one checked, but now do! There are so many areas we need to watch, check and read, tweak and know about, lol.
Thanks again!
Below is my "recent activity" screenshot and I responded to that Twitter post 10 minutes or so ago.
To the left, there should be a sidebar. That's where it says 'switch to topical forums'.
I see it now when I made the switch. So, we have to switch between the two to see our latest activity? Well that is a double whammy, lol. I always presumed anything I responded to would be in the immediate latest activity. I wonder how many I have missed over the years!
I do appreciate the guidance and instructions. I have finally learned how to do this and track posts, but I wonder how many others, like myself, have not been able to do so and missed such things. Maybe just me, lol. I need more "B" vitamins I reckon.

I know there's been alot of changes here lately, but I can usually justify them in terms of being good for HubPages. This one I'm not so sure about. There was a thread in which the OP made outrageous and unsupported and in fact outright false claims. Several people pointed out that she was...

Has this happened to anyone else? Why?

I further request that all have this option.

Please let me know how to get a thread deleted, or at least, my posting?
by Jule Romans 13 years ago
I know we are not able to edit our forum entries. Are we able to delete them?I ask because I have noticed some posts that say "deleted." I can't tell if they were deleted by the author or by HP. If we CAN delete them, could you please tell me how? I don't see a button for...
