This one is a double-header: what is your favorite part of the Turkey; and what are your favorite sides?

I love the tender, delicious turkey breast! If I can't have that; I'll settle for the leg. Now as far as sides are concerned I am really greedy :-)

I really like some of the original dishes served in 1621:

      Venison
      Squash, Pumpkin, and Corn Puddings
Friend Pumpkin Mush with cranberries and honey

I like to leave my turkeys live and walking around.

This year, I'm making cornbread and veggie sausage stuffing, cooked inside a pumpkin. If I can find the time, I might also whip together a raw chopped cranberry salad.

I love turkey breast the best, especially smothered in gravy.  For sides, nothing beats stuffing, mashed potatoes (both smothered in gravy) and cranberry sauce.  Thanksgiving is the only day each year that I eat unhealthy food.  Normally I eat little or no meat, veggies, fruits and nuts.

The dressing recipe that I got from a friend several years ago. I am never satisfied with Thanksgiving dinner without it. I can hardly wait to have some again, and will make plenty to freeze for Christmas and New Years dinners.

I think mine is my aunt's creamed corn pudding.  It's divine.
