Hey guys, just wanna share this appealing yet satisfying feeling of mine...
One of my hubs just got 1,353 views just for one day!!! I still can't believe it... is it too good to be true? smile

    http://s1.hubimg.com/u/12035736.png

I did not  know what I did, but this hub skyrocketed its views for almost a month right now..
I am really hoping that my other hubs can get the same traffic views...any ideas?

Congratulations. How wonderful. Just to be on the safe side, you may want to look at the traffic sources for this skyrocketing hub. This happened to me a couple of times and it was because of an improper link to a traffic generating site that I did not originate. Just fyi. It resulted in a violation for me and I got a warning from HP.

Thanks for the advice, to be frank, that count is too good to be true for me, and maybe a technical glitch but it sure hyped me up!

hahahaha. it shows how a lot of people are into harem anime. Lots of ecchi lovers nowadays. Congratulations by the way.
By the way, you should check the source of that massive traffic. Sometimes, it comes from sketchy sources, which then ruins the initial excitement. big_smile

no doubt about that, many people prefer to watch this genre, I'm thinking of starting a next hub with this genre, so I decided to watch more.. so win-win? hehe smile

Very glad that it's consistently higher. One of mine went way up for a day and then returned to lower than it had been previous to the increase.

Congrats!  This happened to me a few weeks ago when one of my hubs got 4,000 views in three days...but I know mine came from the fact that someone on FB saw it, liked it, shared it, and so on and so forth.  Wish it would happen more often!

I got a small one again yesterday when an article that usually only gets about 20 views a day suddenly got 250!  Couldn't figure that one out...but as my ol' mammy always told me..."never look a gift horse in the mouth!"

That is very cool. Like others have said there have been glitches. But you could check it with Google Analytics, see if stats there are the same. Also, you could check this: http://www.likeexplorer.com/ to see if it's being shared on social media. It's a cool tool. a lot of times if you are getting a lot of visits it's because a lot of people are sharing your article.

yeah, congrats but isn't it weird that the rest of the hubs are just tens , only this hot up?

Not to burst your bubble, but I'm seeing a lot of this lately.  A hub that gets 20 views per day suddenly gets a thousand, for a day or two.  Things settle back down and another hub repeats the process in a few days.  I've seen it at least a half dozen times lately.

They aren't showing up in the impressions, though, and aren't producing income; just inflated traffic figures.  I'd be interested in knowing what is happening as well.

I have one like that and it is showing in the stats from Google.com. This hub fluctuates between high and low views sometimes, so I'm not surprised. I hope it's not a fluke.

I had a hub last week showing 1100 views for the 24 hour period, yet those views were not substantiated in GA (GA showed 350), and I did not get paid for approximately 800 of those views, so it was very odd to me.

Also, I am experiencing a series of small spikes for the day rolling randomly through my hubs that settle back to normal, but again GA does not see those spikes.

That's it, all right.  Maybe a 'bot wandering around?  Scraping everything in sight?  These kinds of anomalies always bother me.

Funnily enough, I've been experiencing similar over the past three days with three different hubs.

Yes, I understand your point, it can maybe a technical glitch, but hmm... .yeah.. whether glitch or not, it can be a great inspiration to write more using the genre. smile

joween18, congratulations. It all depends on the reason, so check your traffic sources. I've had big jumps caused by a specific event - the death of the subject of my article, for example - or just by a jump in page rank after an update. Most, like wilderness says, are spikes, but not all of them. I'd check my sources and see if I could duplicate whatever caused it, assuming your can figure it out.

    Generally

Hey, super congratulations! But FYI Hubpages rules ban sharing specific earnings data.

Congratulations.  It could mean that someone popular shared the the hub in with their social network.  I would check the traffic sources of the particular hub.  We (the site) have had a couple of hubs this year that had each had a massive spike this year - so big in fact, that you could see the spike site wide. I hope yours continues to grow that big.

I suddenly had 450 views on a hub that generally has some hits every day.  Pretty cool.

I'm not an SEO expert by any means, but I have started to read one SEO site, which is reporting today a recovery of some of the Penguin-hit sites. Here is the link. Let's hope this is what we're seeing.

All this traffic is amazing! Unfortunately, I have never come close to those numbers with any of my hubs. I do have one that gives me consistent good traffic and I wish I knew the "secret" of why that particular hub gets 90% of my hub traffic. I do love writing though and have a dream to start a food blog with it's own domain about a year from now. Great job everyone!
