I'm trying to write a hub, linking to a couple of my other hubs, but the links don't work, saying the page cannot be found and I'm getting warnings about broken links when I know the links aren't broken and that the hubs do exist. What is going on??? So many things seem to be faulty on HP these days. Is anyone else having the same problem?
Are you sure that the Hubs are published?
Can you provide an example Hub and the links that you believe are showing broken in error?
The hubs are definitely published and these are the links: http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Castile-Soap
http://sleepylog.hubpages.com/hub/Easy- … oap-recipe
For some reason the link to the first one appears as follows in the HTML: <a href="http://hubpages.com/http://hubpages.com/hubtool/hub/How-to-Make-Castile-Soap">Castile soap recipe</a>
even after changing it to <a href="http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Castile-Soap">Castile soap recipe</a>
and saving the capsule it still doesn't work. Then when I look at the HTML again, the changes haven't been applied and it still says: <a href="http://hubpages.com/http://hubpages.com/hubtool/hub/How-to-Make-Castile-Soap">Castile soap recipe</a>.
For the second one the HTML is: <a class="broken_link" href="http://sleepylog.hubpages.com/hub/Easy-to-make-coconut-milk-soap-recipe" target="_blank">Coconut-milk soap recipe</a> but I know the link isn't broken.
There is a delay from when you change a link to it being reflected in the broken links page.
I just checked these Hubs and see that the links are not showing as broken on the broken links page nor in the HubTool.
http://hubpages.com/my/hubs/broken-links
So, it may be that the system did finally catch up and update the status of the links.
Incidentally.. I"m doing this in a text capsule, not a links capsule.
If you are using a text capsule, why not click on the chain link at the top by highlighting a couple of words like " How to make Castile Soap" and add your url and save.
You add just the url, not all the other html.
I have just been doing it a couple of hours ago and it worked for me.
Hope you get it sorted out soon, sorry I couldn't help you.
I am doing exactly as Elsie and you suggested but for some reason it doesn't work, so I looked at the HTML and that's where it's bugging out, I don't know how to fix it because it's not applying the changes when I save them.
In a text capsule, there is a button for HTML, pressing this shows you the HTML code of the capsule's content.
Could someone from HP please help me out with this? Now it's telling me the link to my coconut-milk soap is broken but the link to the Castile works fine. Perhaps Matthew Meyer could follow up on his post?
Thanks Matthew, it seems to be working now, so maybe it was a bit of a delay. Is that normal, the delay? Or just a glitch?
Yes, there is a delay.
Please see my post above.

Well it's happening again in a different hub that I'm writing. Same thing, trying to link to the same two hubs and again it tells me one page isn't found and for the other, the link is broken. I left it for 12 hours to see if it would change after a bit of a delay, but 12 hours is more than a bit of a delay. I can't publish hubs because linking doesn't work, what am I doing wrong??? Or is it a bug? My hubs are published.
Ok this is still happening and it's been over a day now, just how long does this 'delay' last??? I know my hubs are published but I keep being told the links are broken. It's frustrating because I would like to publish those hubs. Why can't anyone in HP admin tell me what the problem is and how to fix it? A delay of more than a few minutes I can understand, but it's been over a day now!

I know it's been asked before. I've even asked it before. But is there a better and easier way to bring in links to a link capsule from another hub. It'd make linking series so much easier. I spent about 2 hours yesterday linking an old series that I have together. It included about 20 or so hubs...

I apologise to Marisa, as I have no intention of 'stealing her thunder' for her excellent hub gathering statistics on the Plunges and Surges - http://marisawright.hubpages.com/hub/Hu … es-survey. I have looked at another aspect which was not included in the survey. I looked at about 10...

Hello,I try not to make waves with "How Hubpages Operates" and I am not sure if this singular problem is having a huge effect or not. But, I've noticed that many hubs I had connected to other hubs via "embedded" links(anchored text) have not been coming up or being flagged as...

I am not looking to name names here as this happens quite a lot on Hubpages, but can someone please clarify whether or not it is against the rules for a Hubber to come to your hub, leave a comment and then include a link to one of their own hubs as a part of that comment. I know it says under each...

I give! I've searched the first 3 or 4 pages of "Getting Help" Forum and I've read the entire Link's Capsule section in the Learning Center (http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/using-hubtool). That Hub, by the way, has a large number of Quick Links in it. How do you create a list of topics...
