Decent Views; But Low Rank In Search Engines

I have a hub that gets anywhere from 200-300 views every single day. It's an evergreen hub. Unfortunately, if I type the title in GOOGLE it's not ranking anywhere near 1st page. However, it is on the 2nd or 3rd page for some keyword phrases, but rank is still low.

What can I do to dramatically increase the page rank? I'm willing to buy LEGIT backlinks, but also will do some things myself if I must.

Logically, it would make sense that this hub would get 1000s of views a day if it was actually ranking well. Years ago, on another account, I used to get 1000s of views on several hubs, but they were not evergreen topics so traffic decreased eventually (plus Google Algs).

I would GREATLY appreciate any help. smile I cannot bare to be passive any longer, as I feel I am sitting on a gold mine -- so to speak.

Kain, I don't think I would purchase back links. That may be against Adsense rules.

Don't assume the title of the hub is how searchers are finding your hub. Sure your article may appear on the third page of search when you type in the title, but if it's on the first page for a keyword that many people search for, that's how they're finding it. You need to use Webmaster Tools to find out which keywords are being used.

If it really is getting 300 views from search, it's not being found through the title because almost nothing gets 300 views a day from the 3rd page of Google. It's on the first page for a different search term.

You are right. I discovered this in one of my hubs. It was on Page 1 for a keyword, not at all what I expected people would search for.

Being on page 1 of Google does not necessarily mean that you will get a large number of page views.  Much depends on the subject matter and the competition you have and how many people are truly interested in reading that article

Yes I understand that. In 2011-12, I had an article generate 5000 views a day. It was a popular subject, medium competition, and it was number 1.

Look at the competition that you are competing against..

Are they long established authority sites? In which case they will be hard to outrank from a hubpage.

What is on their pages that is not on yours if they rank better? Is there more information? Better graphics? Videos? Do they mention things that you miss?

    DO NOT BUY LINKS!

Some of these sites barely have any information; they just rank higher and show a few pictures. My content is over 1500 words, has several pictures, videos, etc.

You mean there is no site where I can hire people to get legit backlinks for me? I thought I saw one before, but forget what it was called.

I want this hub to succeed because it's already getting decent views, but rank is horrible.

I am on the top of page 3 for one of the main keyword phrases. Can't even find my rank for the other. Years ago I had a hub that got thousands of views & it was on 1st page of Google at the top.

Google's Hummingbird has changed how pages rank.  It can understand language better and user intent better.
Earning links takes work and time.  If your page is getting hundreds of views a day, somehow users are finding your page.  If it's truly better than your competition, you should see your hub gaining more links and moving up.  I think we all want to believe our hubs deserve a top spot, but in reality, we have to ask ourselves, does this hub have everything necessary to be in a top position and does it earn that spot?

It's not about being number 1 exactly, but improving its current position.

Where is most of its traffic coming from, Google or other sources?

A lot seem to be coming from Google, but also  a lot from HP apparently.

What can I do to specifically improve the rank? Can I post links on youtube, forums, blogs etc.? Would this help?

Link building is tricky nowadays and not something I do much of anymore but if you are determined, aim to get 1 or 2 really decent links from high value, topic related websites/blogs where you will actually get traffic from.

Don't bother making loads of crappy links.

Do think about who would get value from linking to you and where you'll find them ie: social media. Build a relationship with those who are likely to share and link to your content.

Here's some solid, up to date advice on the topic: http://www.hobo-web.co.uk/link-building … free-tips/

I know some popular people on on facebook that are in the niche I am. Could I ask them to share my hub? Would that help?

        And I'll check that out!

Yes you could ask them to share your hub, or even better, you could offer to write an amazing article for their site and ask to include a link in it smile

If you buy or sell links in the current climate you will find yourself with no rank at all.  Believe me, I made that mistake once and it took me three years to get my normal rank back.

Agree with Maffew - with that type of traffic it's surely not coming organically. Also, agree with others. You don't buy links anymore. Period.
