What is the staff thinking, or is anyone thinking at all?

   My most recent hub, "Recycling What Your Town Won't Collect" is marked unfeatured on grounds of poor quality. When I inquired, someone responded that it has spammy links unrelated to the content of the hub and sent me a link that explains spammy links. Nothing on that page remotely describes any of the three, count them, three links in the hub.
   
   1. A link to an article on one of my blogs called "Recycling What?? Sewage, diapers, cigarette butts!"
   2 and 3. Links to Earth 911 and 1-800-Recycling, two highly respected sites dedicated to recycling.
   
   I made some edits a while ago, hoping that someone would pay more careful attention this time. But no. The almighty algorithm has spoken and apparently no human being has ever bothered to verity.
   
   Can anyone, in plain English and not links to some irrelevant document, explain to me  which of three links about recycling is unrelated to an article about recycling, or how any of them could seriously be considered spam?
   
   Has anyone else had similar dealings with the Hub Pages staff and found them responsive and cooperative? If so, what's the secret?

      are those links belonged to hubpages? If those are external links, you can only add one of the same site. Example one site from blogger, one from wordpress, maximum 3 external links

         Where did you get that idea, Peachpurple?   You can have TWO links to the same site, and there is NO limit to the number of external links you can have in a Hub.

      I looked at your hub and wondered if the Amazon capsule underneath your content is yours or Hubpages. If it is yours, it is showing Turbo Tax which wouldn't be related to your hub. That could be the problem.

         The hub does not have an Amazon capsule, and I didn't see one when I just looked again. It must be Hubpages', and it must not display to everyone.

   Do the links that you provide actually provide further information or do they just repeat information that is already there in your hub? Posting a link to another article of yours that just then recycles the information that is already there in your hub would be seen as a "no-no"..

   You can have 2 actually, and what is described is only 1. The only possible issue I can think of is the link to you blog.

      If anyone considers my blog spam, I resent it. No one who actually looks at it would consider it spam. I have lots of other links to posts on four different blogs on many other hubs without trouble.
      
      But yes, that link to a post with totally different but definitely related conttent is the only possible issue I can think of. I can't imagine what is in the link that would trigger the algorithm.

            The link doesn't go to the blog in question. That blog, about library related issues, has never had a popup. I disabled the popup on the blog my hub actually links to some time ago.
            
            I answered the email. I hope he actually looks at it this time.

   Yeah, weird.  I ran the site through TrustedSource and SafeWeb and it come up as clear and okay.

   Someone on the staff is being blatantly dishonest, and I think someone is retaliating against me for complainging. I find that seven hubs are flagged for violations, specifically forbidden links. The warning box on each one defines forbidden links:
   
       Sites that contain window confirmation boxes with site navigation, for example, when clicking the back or close buttons, or that redirect users to unwanted websites
       Links to thin eBook sales pages and lead capture forms
       Affiliate or promotional links in subject areas containing a high proportion of low quality, dubious, or promotional content (for example, forex, acai berry, MLM, and weight loss)
       Links to sites that contain links to any of the above
   
   Every single link is to one of my blog posts!! Not one single link comes close to meeting any of those descriptions. And some of you have already checked out the blog and found it clean.
