What's the required number of hubs to get approved and is the length of hubs taken into account?
There's some useful advice in the HP learning center: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/signup-AdSense
Thanks. Sounds like 10 is the magic number and just being patient with the first hub being at least a month old
Ten was the magic number 5 years ago (to the extent there even is a magic number).
These days, more like 30 and going back 6 months. Or apply though another site like Blogger or Youtube.
Hi Drew,
Most people get approved with around 10 or so articles. Some do not, for various reasons, and they tend to come to the Forums for help (so the exceptions are more visible, but not the majority). However, some Hubbers who join already have an AdSense account from YouTube or a personal blog, which they also use here on HubPages, so that is why you may encounter Hubbers with very few Hubs who are already earning from AdSense.
If possible have more than ten because the rule becomes stronger as days go on.
I've heard some people saying 20 or even more hubs may be needed now. It's certainly far more rigorous than a few years ago when you were able to get an account within 24 hours of uploading one file to a document-sharing site!
I agree with what others are saying, that there is no magic number, and that the learning center number is a tad outdated. Ten articles might get you in if they are in-depth and somewhat lengthy. If you tend to write shorter articles, you might need more like 20 articles.
Something else to keep in mind is the age of your account. Google wants to see that you are not a fly-by-night writer who is going to throw up a few articles and then abandon your website. Since you just joined four days ago, I suggest that you wait 4-8 weeks before you apply.
Also, make sure you have the legal rights to use the photos in your articles, and if so, add citations. Google is getting pickier and pickier about stuff like that.
It would help if Google would post their requirements, but they do not. It is something of a guessing game. Build up a good number of quality articles, let your account age for a month or two, apply, and see what happens. If you are turned down, add more content and let your account get a few weeks older, then try again.
Or as already suggested, apply through another site. I have heard it is quicker to get accepted from Blogger and YouTube, but I don't have any direct experience with that.

Hello. Is there anyone here from an Asian country who got their google adsense approved? I've heard that if you reside in an asian country, you have to wait for 6 months. To be specific? What is it about that 6 months? Is it, your account being 6 months old? Or all of your hubs need to be 6 months...

A week ago, I received an email from Google AdSense saying my application had been partially reviewed, they would continue to review my site and it would be either approved or disapproved in 4 business days. I still haven't heard anything. Is there anything I can do other than send them an email?
