Hallo fellow hubbers. I have 22 featured hubs that have earned me some cents since publishing them. Though the earnings are still meagre, they are proving the Ad program is favoring me. Yet, I find it hard cracking hard code of how to generate some earnings through eBay and Amazon even after putting multiple capsules on their porducts on my helps.
Where am I messing guys?
That's a great piece of advice. I haven't thought in that direction yet so I will be trying it out.
Thanks
The key to making sales on Amazon and eBay is to choose your products carefully.
There is simply no point in including an Amazon or eBay capsule unless you can find a product which perfectly matches your subject. That means you'll probably find only two or three products per Hub, if that!
Look at your Hub and ask yourself, "What products would be helpful to the reader here?" Don't just add an Amazon capsule and use keywords - find a specific product, do some research on it, and add a description that explains why you recommend this particular product.
I notice you have a Cuisinart Hub and you don't have a single Amazon capsule on it. Get rid of those photos (which are copyright photos you don't have the right to use, anyway) and use the image from Amazon and both an Amazon and eBay capsule.
Thanks. And which places do you propose that I check photos that are not copyrighted Marisa Wright
Wikimedia commons has photos you may use with proper attribution, and so does the morguefile. The learning center has more suggestions, I think, and there are several hubs on the matter as well. But the best place by far is your own camera.
Regardless of where you find them, or even IF you find photos that are not copyrighted, you have no right, legal OR ethical, to steal the copyrighted work of others for your own purposes.
If you check the slider on my profile you'll find a Hub about photo copyright.
you're on the right path. Keep posting and interacting n you'll see the results that you want
The key to getting sales is not by throwing multiple sales capsules onto a hub and hope someone clicks.
I like to think about my reader as a friend, not a customer. No one wants to be around someone who is always trying to sell them something. I can say to a friend, hey this is an awesome gadget, this really worked for me, etc. and my friend will believe me because I only endorse products that are spectacular and I have actually tried myself. I also tailor my recommendation to my friend. If I find a great dress at a great price, I will mention it to my friend who always looks for deals and perhaps my stylish friend, but not to others who don't wear dresses.
To relate that to hubs, I add products in my how-to hubs, and I explain how to use this product and why this product is better than the other products that do the same thing.

Today we will reduce the number of search driven products that can be displayed to one in the eBay and Amazon capsules. See last week's announcement. Also, when a product capsule is aligned to the right and it has a single product listing, the product picture will now be enlarged. You...

How do I find the affiliate code, partner network ID for Ebay and Amazon?I've been a member of both sites for over a year. It's like pulling teeth to get someone to answer my help question at both entities.

In many previous forum posts there have been people who have given up hope with their Ebay and Amazon capsules on their hubpages, because they don't earn any money from them, some have even removed the capsules from their hubs. I don't really make much money from either but I keep the capsules on...

I wanted to hear from some of the more experienced hubbers and see if the amazon and ebay affiliate programs make very much for them? I assume that they end up being very little of your overall earnings, but I wondered if they are worthwhile. Thanks!

One thing that 'annoys' me, is that when I use the Amazon and eBay capsules in a lot of my writing I feel maybe I should rip them out because they're both the US Amazon and the US eBay and I'm writing (especially for the travel contest at the moment) about places in my local area. So, I think the...
