    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my Hub The Benefits of Fiber Cement Siding. What can I do to improve? Thanks!

This hub is not published so we cannot see it

I think it was finally published. I kept getting emails saying its published, it's down, it's published, it's low quality. I think I had to edit in 3-4 times before it finally was "published"

Your Hub will not pass QAP until it is made into a thoughtful article that really explains the benefits of fiber cement siding, and stops being a thinly disguised promotion for James Hardie Siding and Good Guys Contracting.

Landing pages designed to drive traffic to other sites are heavily penalized by Google and not allowed on HubPages.

You are absolutely right, relache.  Just seems to advertise this siding company.

If this Hub was designed to be purely promotional and you keep trying to publish it you could get banned by HP for persistently ignoring the rules.

I understand that. I was trying to explain why people would want fiber cement siding. Perhaps I didn't do a good job at it. Nevertheless, it's published. I'm attempting to write another one keeping all of these notes in mind.

If your goal was to describe why people would want fiber siding, you need to sound like someone who either works installing it, or someone who learned everything about it before having it put on their house.

I'm designing a house presently, and at no point did I feel I could have a conversation with you about this siding and you would know what you are talking about.

And your second Hub, on fear of clowns, sounds like you just made up why you think people are afraid of clowns, and is missing any and all current psychological information on this type of fear and why people have it.  And then there's the huge unrelated and purely promotional link at the bottom to some kids birthday party site.  Julie, making Hubs like that is against the rules, and really can get you banned from the site.

Here is what HubPages wants in an article, http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/Elem … tellar-Hub

My first hub, The Fear of Clowns, has been on the site for nearly three years now. And has gotten good feedback. And I did a LOT of research on that Hub using various sources. This was way before Hub pages merged with Squidoo. I should have added links with my sources at the bottom but I'm not even sure if that was an option back in 2012.

Your Fear of Clowns Hub, according to HubPages standards, is overly-promotional because it promotes an unrelated children's birthday party business.  The only reason it's still published is because it hasn't been flagged for review by a moderator before now.
