impoverished child simply can't become highly educated, successful, and affluent in America today?  Are you of the belief that once an American child is born into lower socioeconomic backgrounds, h/she is resigned to his/her dire socioeconomic fate with little or no chance of escaping his/her lower socioeconomic background? On the other hand, do you believe that solidly middle, upper middle, and upper class children have it MADE and are EXTREMELY LUCKY  as far as educational and socioeconomic opportunities go?  In other words,  solidly middle, upper middle, and upper class children go further in life than their counterparts from lower middle, lower, and impoverished socioeconomic backgrounds.  Your thoughts?

Does "go further" mean more education (used or not) and more money?

Or does it mean a happy homelife, good morals, high ethics, etc?

Monetarily speaking it is much more difficult for sure.  Opportunities abound for middle to high income families.  Doors open more easily.

Strength of character can come from the most obscure of places.  Appreciation, tenacity and empathy is often engendered from those who have struggled to reach the top from poverty.  But not always.

My siblings all got thier educations, and most of them got good jobs/have good lives etc. From starting out in very poor backgrounds. So of course I believe it is possible.
