The new hub grouping tool is much easier to use, and overall, I like it.
That said, I have a couple of suggestions that could improve its usefulness even further.
1) In the overall groups listing, please put the group names in alphabetical order
2) In the "add hub to group" section, in the left-hand box, likewise, please alphabetize the titles for easier search and find
3) In the overall groups list of hubs, make the titles clickable links, so an author could go right to that hub from the list, if they suddenly thought of something they wanted to tweak in that article
I do hope you will seriously consider at least the first two. It might not matter to some, but those who have 300+ or even some authors whom I know have approaching 1K articles, (and some more than that) it is a real PITA to have to search one by one, through a jumbled order, for a particular hub.
And yes, I did see the search box below; however, I soon found that is only useful if one has perfect recall of all their exact titles; it does not return results based on keywords, even if the title searched for was "close." It has to be exact, or it does not work. I don't know about anyone else, but I cannot store 300+ exact titles in my head--especially given that they get changed from time to time during edits.
Thank you.
You have really studied this Liz, and your suggestions are good.
I also endorse your first two suggestions. Arranging alphabetically can ease our searches for the hubs to be grouped in the groups. Regarding my memory capacities, I can't even remember my 32 hubs titles.
One more thing I may suggest is that when creating groups, there should be a suggestion of available groups. So, when one types a group name for creating his new group, the box should appear mentioning available groups for that subject.
That is not needed, Venkatachari M--
This is not about categories available when writing a new hub.
It is about the groups within your account that you can create for yourself, with whatever name you want to give them, as a sort of "virtual filing cabinet" for your articles. You can name these groups anything you want--there is not an issue with "available" names, as there is with the categories you select when first writing an article.
Grouping hubs in this way allows Hub Pages to properly place related hubs in the suggestions under your actual articles. This is to help direct more traffic to your hubs.
Oh! I got it now. We are free to select the group name. Then it is fine. I thought they should be according to the subcategories that are available. Thanks for the clarification.
Your suggestions are sound, Liz. Whatever is easier and quicker for the author is what should be considered when making changes to posting tools.
Hi Liz - These are very good suggestions, especially the first two. Thanks.

I have a suggestion regarding the hub groups.Once we have a large number of hubs, and find that we may have gotten distracted, and forgotten to add a group category to a new hub, it is cumbersome to do so after the fact. The list of "orphan hubs" is way at the bottom, and having to...

As mentioned in a couple of forum threads recently, Hub Groups (the "More in this Series" module on Hubs) is officially being retired. Groups were created to help Hubbers connect Hubs belonging to a series (e.g., a Hub with multiple parts), making it easy for readers to access the other...

Hi!I am new to HubPages and need HELP! I joined a couple of days ago and have only been able to publish one article. I am unclear as to how postings work. I was under the impression that once I chose a title for my hub, I could just continue to add new topics. I want my Hub...

Hi everyone! Today we released an update to the Hub Groups interface in My Account. The new interface closely matches the About the Author UI and should be familiar to many of you. Please note that we did not make any functional changes to Hub Groups (such as integrating it with About the Author)...
