Payment?

Has anyone else not been paid today? Usually the payment comes on the 28th of each month at exactly 20:37 UK time. Today I have received nothing and was relying on that money to get me through the next couple of days. I am not happy! Anyone know what's going on?

I got mine a few hours ago.  It's always late in the afternoon, but I never pay attention to the exact time.  All I know is that HP always pays.

I gotz minez. But I have to clear my cache every time I sign into PayPal. Anyone else have to do this and why is it happening? I did a lot of updates recently, plus added some software for my printer on my computer; maybe that's why.

I just got the payment notice on one of my Hub accounts within the last two minutes, so it seems the process is in process even as we post.

Ah ok, that's something (fingers crossed!). It's just that payments have been at 20:37 on the dot for as long as I can remember! Seems a little strange how the timing is off this month. Maybe something to do with the site updates. Thanks for the response.

Got mine-- but it was just a little later in the day than usual.

We processed payments without any issues on our side today.  Not sure why Paypal had the payments pending a bit longer than usual, but they should be there now.

I still haven't gotten mine - and I qualified on both my accounts. Any updates about what is going on?

You probably did not accumulate at least $50 total. Did you include the proper month from Amazon? It's not last month. It's two months ago that you have to add to your prior month from the HP Ad program. See my detailed explanation above.

I did, and I checked like a hundred times. I am always super careful about that (I have received many payments so far). I even checked my balance history and everything checks out. I usually receive the payments at the same time in the evening on the 28th for two years now, so I am a bit worried.

And now I think I have a peculiar bug. When I checked my Amazon sales reports just a moment ago, everything from May 1st until June 30th has magically disappeared from the list. Sales before May and from July onward are there. Interesting.

That would explain why you didn't get paid. Question is, what happened with your Amazon residuals?

Did you suddenly have a lot of returns? Did Amazon detect something unusual and adjusted your residuals?

You can verify this in your "Amazon Sales Report" under your earnings page.

If you don't see a reason in the sales report, you may have to contact Amazon. I do find it strange that an entire two months were canceled.

I just got the earnings to finally show and everything is fine. Now I can see the clicks and orders and everything in the Earnings report. Whew. Although the amount is a bit smaller and I will get paid next month only, it is good to see that everything checks out.

Great! Glad you figured that out. It would be nice if HubPages showed the "amount to be paid" using the appropriate prior months residuals from the respective affiliates. It would help avoid the necessity to add it up ourselves. I see it all the time in the forums that people expect payment when they see a total over $50 without realizing that Amazon pays 60 days later.

If you look at your Balance History under Earnings, it will tell you what to expect at the 28th of the next month.  Amazon at 60 days out and HP earnings at 30 days out.

Correct. The balance history report properly displays the prior month's Amazon total from 60 days ago added to the last month's HP Ad program earnings. I should have mentioned that. People get confused because they look at the earnings report instead, which does not show the correct month from Amazon.

Is this payment for the Ad program and Amazon combined or just one or the other?

    1. TIMETRAVELER2 profile image85
TIMETRAVELER2posted 8 years agoin reply to this

Both combined.  It's always like that.

    2. Glenn Stok profile image96

It includes payment for the prior month's Ad Program and the 2nd to prior month's Amazon earnings.

Note that Amazon pays HubPages 60 days later, same as if you use Amazon directly. So your HP payment is made if the total of Amazon prior, prior, month plus Ad program prior month totals $50 or more.

I got paid earlier today as usual. You should have received it by now if your totals add up as I just explained.

No delay here... prompt payment as usual (thanks, HP).
I wonder if Paypal has a delay on delivering payment to certain accounts, maybe by age or type of account or by country, etc? Possible?

The total since the last time I received a payment is over $50, but maybe it's because some of it's Amazon and those sales were in the last month or so? That might be it. IDK...

    1. Glenn Stok profile image96
Glenn Stokposted 8 years agoin reply to this

You can't go by the total that HubPages shows. That only totals the previous month of all affiliates. You have to look up the total from Amazon for the previous to the last month and add that the the last  month from the HP Ad program.

I was 17 dollars short of my money, I still don't understand the Amazon payment method, sorry for being dumb!

  14. LindaSmith1 profile image60
    LindaSmith1posted 8 years ago

Nell: Amazon holds earnings for 2 months.  If your sales reach payout with your personal account, you get paid end of August,  Your June sales with HP program are included with August if you meet minimum combining Amazon sales from HP program and Ad earnings from HP.
