You may be able to retrieve some of your Bubblews posts

   If you had Bubblews posts you want to keep, but can't get to since the site shut down, there's a way to perhaps get some of them. Here's how:
   
   Do a Google search for "TITLE OF YOUR ARTICLE" Bubblews. (Enclose the title in quotes). If you get a listing (meaning it's still indexed), click on the downward triangle to the right of the url (just under the title). Then click "Cached".
   
   That may bring up Google's cached copy of your page, which you can then copy to your computer. I found it worked for most but not all of the posts I tried it with.
   
   EDIT:
   You can get a list of all your Bubbles titles that are still indexed by Googling:
   
   [your user name] site:bubblews.com
     (Don't include the brackets)
   
   Then just click on the triangle associated with each one as explained above.

      Just a note. Maybe other results will be different. I did as suggested for both shared. There were displayed results. The first two produced bublews.com/users/[Name] & instead of users was tags. That was followed by articles. The links produced a canned announcement letter for being closed. Perhaps I did something incorrect.

         Don't click on the links. Click on the triangle to the right of the link and the word cached will appear. When you click on the word cached, you should still be able to see the article.

   I tried both methods, and just got a 'site closed' notification in both cases. 
   
   So...if it's no longer indexed by Google, and I can't get to it because the site is closed, I guess I'm free to use any and all of those posts here, without fear of the dreaded "duplicate content" flag....

      DzyMsLizzy, even if a particular post is no longer indexed, you shouldn't see a "site closed" notice. Either that article won't appear in search, or you could get a 404 error when you click "Cache". I've added a screenshot of how I'm doing it below. Please give it another shot.
      
      If you still have problems, if you'll tell me your Bubblews ID, I'll try it for you.

      Yes, I was able to get that far--apparently the first time, I failed to leave the space between my user name and the word "site." 
      
      However, that's as far as I could get.  When I clicked the 'cached' arrow, nothing loaded.  At this point, (2 hours later) it is still spinning saying "loading," and the only thing visible on the page is a partial view of my final post in which I stated I was leaving, and why.

         I did try the 'Cache' method getting some results. One was her profile page. It says 'loading posts' with no results so far . . . leaving it up watching. I brought it up on another window and tried to search titles the result being the 'canned' closed notice. I tried the Internet Archive: Wayback Machine to no avail too. I dun'no . . .

   Fortunately, I never used Bubblews for any more than it was:  short, unimportant posts more of a social nature.  I have not lost anything of value, and in any case, I composed all of my work first in MS Word, so it still exists in my computer.
   
   Since it will not load, though, I'm thinking I can take some of the "slightly more interesting" topics and expand them into hubs...
