Undesired but Adored Once Money/Fame Achieved

A question for men. Some men are more attractive than others just as some women are more attractive to others. I have always wondered how an attractive/less desired man with no money suddenly finds fame and fortune thus changing his world when it comes to dating.  The man that could never get a date suddenly is surrounded by beautiful women desiring to have a relationship with that same man.
My question-Do men consider the beautiful women that surround them part of the victory and rewards for achieving social status? Do you question the new found love or just enjoy the experience?  Does the man who could tell a joke and no woman would laugh, gain money/status and now enjoys being the most desired man in the room?  Does a man see something else in the mirror or does he rationalize that he’s made so much money that he no longer unattractive, awkward, or undesirable? Does this behavior make you distrust women or do you not pay attention because you can now afford to have the hot girl by your side?

There are women that love the heart of the man and care for them regardless of their looks-this does exists. However there are successful men that have expressed the belief that if they weren’t wealthy these women wouldn’t be interested in them at all.
What are your thoughts when fame/money suddenly makes you desire wanted commodity among groups that were previously uninterested in knowing you?

"Do men consider the beautiful women that surround them part of the victory and rewards for achieving social status?"

The reality is a there is a large segment of men who subscribe to the belief that "If I become successful enough I can have any woman I want!"

This probably goes back to the caveman era. The men who won the battles, hunted the best, and provide the most was admired by women. Even in high school the captain of the football team or leading scorer of the basketball team rarely had trouble finding girls who wanted to date them.

A lot of musicians got into playing a band as a way to attract girls. There is something about being on a stage bathing underneath a spotlight that causes some women to want to be associated with the guy even before he becomes rich or famous.

While men often make fun of women they consider to be "gold diggers" the reality is to some extent they want their own daughters to marry "successful men". Given a choice between a loveable janitor or heart surgeon who is rough around the edges most men would tell their daughters to marry the surgeon. "Take care of my baby girl!"

Historically women went to college not so much for getting an education or establishing a career but rather to find a man from a "well to do" family.

A lot of women approach dating with idea of having a "short window" to attract a successful man. They do all they can to look beautiful and young including getting various plastic surgeries and so on.

When it comes to women a lot of men value beauty and youthfulness.
It's not uncommon to see men marry women who are 20, 30, or 40 years younger than themselves.

Even now successful women in their own right still want to marry men who earn more money then they do! A lot of women aren't comfortable making more money than the men they date or marry. At some point they have to give in accept it when they reach levels like Oprah, Madonna, Halle Berry.

Getting back to your question however the answer is yes! Many men look at having beautiful women to date or marry as being a part of the fruits of their labor. It comes with the mansions, exotic sports cars,  and tropical vacations. The term "trophy wife" speaks for itself!

A few years ago Hugh Hefner married Crystal Harris a former centerfold from Playboy Magazine. Hefner was (86) and Crystal was (26)!

No one can convince me if he were not rich and famous she would have married or even bothered dating him!

Oddly enough it doesn't work the other way around as much. Not many 26 year old guys would pursue marriage to an 86 year old woman no matter how rich or successful she was.

It's generally accepted by successful men that women are drawn to them because of their fame and wealth. There are even online dating and matchmaker sites geared towards linking rich men to "hot" looking women for dating and relationships.

There are also hookup sites geared towards "Sugar Daddy & Sugar Babies". The trade off is great looks for money in order to "play".

Thanks Dashing Scorpio. As always, great response.
LOL-I guess I missed the boat on going to college to find a man. That was never my purpose. I was focused on making sure that I can support myself at a certain level that was suitable for me hence the pursuit for education.

          Yes, times have changed! LOL!

Of course these days are lots of guys in college on student loans or scholarships. Therefore there is no guarantee that just because someone is in college that they came from a "well to do" family anymore.

However I imagine there is some "up" potential to meeting someone while on campus who is about to graduate with a degree that is in demand!smile
