I was doing a search for one of my hubs and ran across this blog. Its my hub word for word and same pictures. I just changed a few things on it tonight. Is it copied or do I actually get the traffic from it? There is a place where it says source article on internet and when I click on it, it takes me to my hubpages article. I've just never seen this before. http://tulipsinholland.com/2014/12/grow … lass-jars/
It's good that they provide a link, but not good enough. They are a reputable company, I've dealt with them. I think this is a case of an honest mistake, they think HubPages is an article site (where articles are available to copy).
I suggest you write to them. In situations like this, where it looks like a reputable site, I usually say something like, "My name is Marisa Wright and I am the author of the article on your site here [insert URL]. You may not be aware that the article is copyright and may not be reproduced without my permission. There are two alternatives: I'm happy to give permission for you to publish the first three paragraphs only, with a link to my original article, OR you can pay my usual fee of $50 and keep the article in full. My Paypal address is ...."
Oh that's a great idea. You would think google would penalize people who do this. When I googled How to grow perennials in glass jars all year around it was number 1. I cant even get google traffic myself from it...What happens if they ignore me. Can I report the blog?
In this case, I would be surprised if they ignore you. They are a well-established real-life company, not just a spammer! You may even find they pay you.
If the first, polite notification doesn't work, (but do wait a couple of weeks to give them a chance to respond), send them a second email using the standard DMCA wording, threatening legal action because they are breaching your copyright - that will make them react.
Ok I will try. I can not believe a well established company would be plagiarizing.
One last question. I can't find there email...
You're right, I just had a look and she's made it difficult to find!
It's info @ tulipsinholland.com (remove the spaces obviously). The site owner's name is Nienke.
If they decide to keep the article by paying for it, does that mean they have rights to it and will we have to take ours off the Internet to avoid duplicate content, on say a site like HP?
It depends on what you're selling.
If they are simply paying to keep the article on their blog, then no there is no need to delete the original - they're just paying for usage rights. If they want a unique copy and you agree to delete the original, you'd want to charge more.
Hi all, I have created profile recently.I manage online tutoring blog but Hub has majority of posts on recipes. Could anyone guide me how to get traffic on my blog using my Hub profile?
You won't get traffic to your blog from your HubPages profile. Very few people will ever look at your profile, other than other HubPages members (and there are not many of us).
You can raise the profile of your business by writing magazine-quality articles here. Those articles have to be original, not published anywhere else, in excellent English,, and offer genuinely useful advice.
Just one more suggestion from you: the article which I am posting to my blog are my original articles but when I post them to Hub Pages they show duplicate on moderator settings. Is there anyway I can link mu blog to my hub and hence authenticate the original articles posted on blog here to my hub?
No, HubPages won't accept work published elsewhere, even if it is your own. The process of checking is automated so you can't get past it. Articles must be original and unique to HubPages.

Just found 2 of my hubs copied here by this blogger athttp://fatema-taher.blogspot.in/since some time I've been experiencing a loss of traffic in some hubs of mine that have been doing very well for a long period of time. Since the drop was a continuous one I put a paragraph of one of my hub in...

The article in question was "Good Title and Caption Ideas for Content Creators". Here is the link to the unpublished page at least showing the url (https://discover.hubpages.com/technology/Caption-Ideas). I published this article on 2-21-22. There is usually a 1 day wait time for...

If you have noticed your traffic decreasing lately on some of your hubs, this Facebook page is copying content from several hubbers and publishing it on their FB page. The Facebook page is called OHealth atwww .facebook .com /pages ...

There is so much of this going on that it may not be worthwhile to mention. Since I know that this site is not cooperative, I sent my DMCA complaint to Google. My hub is copied word for word with all the lovely photographs and even a link to another similar hub. It probably is my best hub with lots...

I have had about 5 of my hubs stolen. They have been shamelessly republished on over 5 sites (some hubs were stolen by more than one). They look to be low quality sites, so I don't think that they are making a lot of money off of my work. I am not sure if it is worthwhile to file DMCA complaints....
