Display advertising is nothing whatsoever to do with HubPages
Display advertising is advertising in banner images, or the large square images at the side as opposed to the Google ads two line adverts.
The thing is a lot of websites and news sites (trad vehicles for advertising) now use lots more images than they used to. So if the advertisers don't follow then nobody is going to read their adverts.

Let's hope something good comes out of this. The online world was a better place when there was competition and not a virtual monopoly by a single search engine.It's particularly problematic because Google has its fingers in so many other pies, including advertising, and so can use its dominance...

Since they can take up to 20 seconds to appear, could an image such as an outline with text indicating what the whitespace is for be shown? It would prevent reader confusion and maybe help with the Google "Page Experience"

Specifically, has anyone submitted their best hub articles as writing samples to help get a job? I'm not talking about re-using hubs to publish somewhere else - I just mean using them as part of a resume, as an example of past written work. Thanks!
