Not trying to steal the staffs thunder, but I just got a Hub selected for a new music site, Spinditty. Must have went live last night.
https://spinditty.com/
Google has also discovered it, so the cat's definitely out of the bag.
Yup, one of mine has been moved over there as well. I hope some more will follow.
C'mon, Powers That Be... I got lotsa hard rock and heavy metal related articles that would fill up that section of your new site very nicely. (bats eyelashes, shuffles nervously from foot to foot)
I've been tryin' to become the Heavy Metal Guru around here for ages 'n' ages... there's so many religioso's on this site that it's only fair that the work of Satan gets equal time!!! (evil cackling....hehehehehehehehe)
(Note to the ultra-religious and/or the humor-impaired: I keed, I keed.)
Not going against the author or anything,
But I notice a hub in the "Popular Articles section" on the home page of this niche site with the following title:
"Best 12 Songs from Parent to Child"
Is it just me or is that wrong use of language (unless it's American English).
Wouldn't it rather be: 12 best songs...
Just trying to figure out the kind of hubs they are putting up. Is it all about quality or does the current traffic have a higher factor to play when the decision is being made.
As an American, I can't see a difference between 12 Best or Best 12.. However, I don't know what "from parent to child" means???
Haha that I didn't get either, but the Best 12 part just felt weird. Thanks for your opinion on it
But starting a sentence with a numeral is weird, too, unless they spelled it out ...."Twelve Best..."
Yup agreed. I would have personally gone with top 12 or the 12 best
Was that not a long tail keyword tactic at one point in SEO? Rotating words in titles to make your article different?
It may also mean:
Best 12 songs -- the very best - no more than 12 are the best.
12 best songs -- and counting - selected only 12.
In this case I understand the title as the best 12 out there.
Had 3 of mine moved over, still getting over the excitement of being hubpro'd and my material deemed to be of high enough quality. Now we'll see if they generate any more hits....

Hi,Do more experienced Hubbers have any useful tips for getting your article moved to a niche site? I kept seeing advice that goes something like "make sure you write a high-quality article" but it just seems so vague to me. I have 9 articles now and the only one that was moved to a niche...

I have written a series of articles/essays under the title "The Cackleberry Farmer." Only the latest of around ten issues has been selected for "LetterPile" niche site. HP won't allow links to the other hubs in the series, and anyone reading the one on LetterPile won't really be...

I think it's unfair that we can submit only one hub within 60 days. The mail from the site says your hub is not selected and asks to make changes. They do not specify what changes they need. Even if we make changes, we have to wait another 60 days to resubmit it. The time to resubmit or submitting...

Today it is my sad duty to announce that we're retiring Hub of the Day.Site selection is proving to be a more rewarding form of recognition that benefits more Hubbers at once, so it's where our current priorities lie. We don't have time to continue selecting Hubs and maintaining the code base for...

Is there a common standard or set guidelines that all the editors use to select articles? Or do all the different network sites/editors have their own guidelines for their own sites similar to when we submit our own articles? Is there a way to find all the different guidelines, without trying to...
