Do you believe that there is Male Privilege despite the advances of the Women's Movement in America?

Yes, male privilege still exists in many occupations and subcultures of the U.S. It is less of a problem than it once was, but pretty much any woman who has spent much time  in the workforce has encountered it to some degree.

Of course, male privilege exists.  Women encounter discrimination on a daily basis, either overtly or covertly.  Girls & women are treated as the other.  The right-wing, fundamentalists, & extreme conservatives are trying to take away women's reproductive freedoms.  Women still have to endure discrimination in higher levels of education e.g. campus assaults where rapists, if they belong to fraternities or money-generating athletes, are treated with kid gloves while the victim is shamed, even castigated.  Women have to face assaults in the army & other places where there is a male majority & men are in powerful places.

No, women have the same opportunities as men. If not more.

I think more of the power struggles  are perhaps personality related ,   Why in some marriages is the male dominant  while in others it's  definitely female  domination ?    I have seen the same thing in family owned companies  ,  very strong female positions in power  and the  male  as the weaker partner.    There is a male dominance overall  I think ,  but one has to wonder about personal choice or  at least the existence of some a scale of self -choosing ?

Last month in the UK, a rep from the Green Party categorized its members as "male" and "non-male."

No mention of females or women. Females are simply "non-males" with male being the default human.

Are you talking about this Tweet?: https://twitter.com/ygwomen/status/713708838919282688

It clearly states women and non-men i.e. anyone who does not identify as a woman but also not a man (for instance, non-binary or genderqueer). This was an attempt at inclusivity, but who cares? Far better to get the pitchforks and torches.

    No, it doesn't exist.

(That's how this works, right? We just assert things without providing evidence?)
