Actually, a whiskey bottle, a hypodermic needle, religion or meditation (on God) provides what we are all seeking:
    Bliss.
Just depends on which one is lasting and which one allows / enables balance in life.

    The Way I see It

Unending bliss without bad side-effects, something the universe/reality/nature/life will not allow. Why is that?

Who said the universe / reality / nature, / life doesn't allow it? IT has no say in the matter. It just IS.
We have the say in the matter. We either allow IT for ourSelves ….
        or not.

"… in the end there is only darkness.* PS
            Is this statement provable?

~ what prevents this conclusion: "… in the end there is only light?"

Entropy occurs when light dissipates. I think this is what cancer is. The light of the cells has dissipated for whatever reason.

        There is utility in futility.

As far as rust, weather's light has proven more powerful then metal's light, scientifically speaking on a subatomic level. For instance, metal in a vacuum sealed environment does not rust.

Gravity, friction: These forces are the result of the apparent solidity of objects  (solidity = a slowing down of light. Weight and solidity equals the loss of speed of light within the particles / molecules.)

How do you think Jesus was able to walk on water?

How did Jesus rearrange all the cells in his body and appear solid AFTER entropy had occurred, (due to the ceasing of his heart?)

Conclusion: If we become one with light, we are not subject to entropy.

No one / nothing PREVENTS us from becoming one with the light, except for this one fact:

Jesus / The Bible doesn't give us enough info to allow / enable us to experience bliss / heaven within!

To proclaim, "The kingdom of heaven is within" just isn't enough! So thanks for not much, Jesus.

    God is a he/she, no?

I can't imagine an addiction is a balance. Too much of one thing is an unbalance. Even a positive addiction like running can take away from other things that would balance you better.

You have made me feel old, probably because I am. I was cross country in high school. Last time I jogged my ankles hurt. I perceived it as PAD. I think I will sometime work up the energy to try it one more time.

      Maybe both.

When nature destroys cities and takes lives with floods or tornadoes etc is that an imbalance or is it merely mother nature doing what she does to keep the balance?

Nature is my Religion, and can easily understand it, for the laws of life and death.

You know me, that fearless guy who plays around the world with extreme natural disaster and big wild animals.

What I don't understand is a synthetic world of destruction coming from so many minds of harm and lying.
