Because of the wording describing the "Islamic terrorists "  involved in the 9/11 attack  , some want to wording changed to something less "offensive" , too bad  that our culture isn't allowed to honor even those lost to an act of terrorism , so now we can actually defend the world from all it's  evils without honoring our losses ?

We will NEVER  defeat an enemy if we cannot name it

“On September 11, 2001 nineteen Islamic terrorists unsuspectedly boarded four airliners departing east coast airports to hijack the planes and carry out a series of coordinated attacks against the United States. This is a tribute to all the lives lost that day and to the heroic sacrifice of all who rushed to help. As Americans, we honor their memory by living our lives in freedom. We will never forget.”

Todd Starnes wrote article where he reports that Owego's City Manager Donald Castelluci's reply to the Islamic Organization of the Southern Tier, based in nearby Johnson City, N.Y. that he disagreed with them 100% about the wording.  He said they have no plans to change a single letter in the town’s memorial.

“I don’t live in a politically correct world,” he told Fox affiliate WICZ. “I live in a historical fact world…whether it’s American, homegrown, Christianity, Islamic, you call it what it is. And we don’t whitewash things, especially here.”

      Amen to that!

The citizens of Owego were commemorating the 15th anniversary of 9/11 2001 by dedicating their memorial park that honors a local resident who died at work up on the 89th floor of 2 World Trade Center, his life was ended by an Islamic terrorist.

      His name was Derek Statkevicus.

The US House of Representatives has passed a bill allowing Americans to sue Saudi Arabia over 9/11, days before the attack’s 15th anniversary. The measure passed without objection or opposition, but the White House is threatening a veto.

The House approved it on Friday by unanimous consent, giving the Republican-dominated legislature the ability to override a veto from President Barack Obama.

Obama is a parasite, add Clintons and Bushs to the list.

Saudi Arabia has tried to block the bill, using the services of its many lobbyists in Washington. Among them is the Podesta Group, co-founded by current Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta and run by his brother Tony.

If a 9/11 monument offends some people, they should move to Saudi Arabia.

Ok. I don't have a problem with the wording but I will point out when some 'Christians' hurl out disgusting comments during funerals we do insist that everyone remember they are Westboro Baptist. So, I can also understand why some Muslims would want that clarified. All they wanted, by my understanding, was it pointed out that they were Saudi.

Edit. Sorry. This was in response to the OP not your post.

Seems Muslims like scheduling attacks on 9/11.

Sept. 11-Muslim attacks at Malta, Vienna, Zenta, WTC, Benghazi
    http://myemail.constantcontact.com/Sept … 3z-p87kEgk

It is an interesting review of Muslim attacks on Christendom, preceding and including 9/11/01.

A Polish King was responsible for holding back Islam from most of Europe, in a siege against Vienna, on Sept 11, 1683

On Dec. 12, 2011, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton began a 3 day closed door meeting with the OIC, promising to support their Istanbul Process to universally "criminalize" speech insulting Islam, effectively enforcing "dhimmi" status on non-Muslims worldwide.

By definition, the Christian Gospel insults Islam. If someone in a Shariah controlled country proclaims Jesus Christ more than a prophet--but also the Son of God who died on the cross to pay for the sins of the world--it would mean the death penalty.

In fact, all speech contrary to Islam insults Islam.

At the end of the meeting, OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu stated:

"The Istanbul Process initiated with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton...must be carried forward."

Clinton added:  "We now need to move to implementation."

In the following months, Hillary Clinton's State Department ignored repeated requests for security by Ambassador Chris Stevens in Libya.

He was killed with several others in the Benghazi attack on SEPTEMBER 11, 2012.

The night of the attack, Secretary Clinton's State Department blamed a video, and the shortly after sent memos to YouTube and Google recommending they censor speech insulting Islam, consistent with promises made at the OIC Istanbul Process meeting.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice added to this narrative, as did President Obama when he told the U.N. General Assembly, Sept. 25, 2012:

"The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."

    What evil!

And think what an uproar we'd see if anyone suggested there be no more Jesus jokes, or cartoons.
