I'm so psyched, it took so long. I think I'll take a screen shot and frame it!

It took 5 years. I came to HP at the end of 2010, in late October. I wrote like crazy all of 2011, but then made my own blog, and also wrote on Wizzley and Infobarrel. Not "putting our eggs in one basket" was the philosophy then. So the majority of my hubs are 4 yrs. old, they are all evergreen. I add one now and then when I have a new interest, but mainly have one niche. I spend most of my writing time on that. I have a good sized online following now, and use my time writing for paying clients. I believe many of them found me at HP. So thanks, HP! It's the best site to help you develop writing skills and has a great community.

Plus about a third of my hubs moved to niche sites, and the views helped me a lot. I do still keep tweaking and correcting my old hubs when I can, but it hasn't been my main focus. I am getting interested in writing fiction now. But I am very grateful to have finally reached this number, and believe the niche site moves were responsible. I will continue to review old hubs, and may delete a few that aren't getting views. Thanks everyone!

You prove that dedication pays off. I am deep in the tweaking and correcting process to my exposure and financial peril, but have unpublished three-quarters of my hubs, only releasing them to the public when I am satisfied they wouldn't totally embarrass me. A long and arguably unproductive process, but one I am committed to nevertheless. I hope the rest of 2016 can be my "writing like crazy" year. Congratulations again!

Congratulations Jean! Well deserved. I have just joined HP and seeing your post is really encouraging and really shows the importance in finding the niche and engaging the community.

Best of luck to you Denny. I takes time to build up a volume of hubs, and then just "wait" until they get discovered! Stay with it.

      Congratulations, 1,000,000  a wonderful number!
I'm looking forward to my own milestone, it does not come quick or easy, that's for sure! The niche sites seem to have sped up the views of the transferred hubs quite a bit, but all my hubs that stayed on HB are quite dormant...
      Great achievement! smile

Good job. I know this means a lot to you as you've said views etc. in the past have not been good.  Obviously something has changed!  Glad this happened.  One million is certainly a worthy number!

Marisa has gone way beyond helpful to me. She built my first blog for me, but I was too inexperienced to run it well. She has a special place in my heart, and also has a heart of gold.

I see many people who did it a lot faster than I did. But I'm patient, and happy I reached a new milestone. I appreciate all of you who haven taken time out of your busy day or night, and written to me. Thank you so much. Sometimes changes seem discouraging, and turn out to be just what you need.
