When commenting do you try to post something of quality or do you think people don't mind so long as they get lots of comments?

Would you prefer to get quality comments or are you just happy to see a comment at all?

I am new here and my feelings may well change but for now I want my comments to feel valuable to the person I post a comment to but am happy with any comment I receive so long as it isn't mean smile. I guess I am easily won over!

I love to get comments as long as they aren't hateful, which they occasionally are. I don't think the number of comments has all that much to do with how the hub performs though. smile

I always try and post a good comment instead of the typical "nice hub" I always think it is very important to give some opinionated input after someone has gone to all the trouble of writing an article here on hubpages and then if someone just tries to spam link through your comments or someone just says two words, it just seems like they couldn't give a rats arse about your hubpage, all they want to do is add a profile link, which is fine if you are giving a good comment.....

I think that is probably a good course to take. Make our own comments valuable and be happy with comments we recieve so long as they are not to negative or contrary to why you are here in the first place (I am not really here to spam so wouldn't appreciate a spam link).

I guess you have to take the good with the bad. I have not had anything hateful said in a comment to me yet, give it time I guess. I enjoy writing about all sorts and I probably will push a button with someone some time who has a difference of opinion to me to such an extent that they feel the need to let me know how differently they feel. I will try to think of it that way if/when I get a hateful comment made, I just pushed a button that was a bit to deep for them and don't take it to personally. There is no law that says everyone has to like me all the time, tho that would make for a good one! lol big_smile
