   I live on a boat and I love it.  Have you ever thought about living on

      Yes, just about everyday.  I want to travel around the world and write a novel based on my travels.  I just need a little $ to make it happen.

      Yes, I would love to. I considered doing Semester at Sea.
      
      I would dive every day. Lay on the deck and read. But I think it would get lonely after a while. Even if I did it with my family. I need lots of people around me

   We considered buy a 40+ foot Freedom sailboat to live in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore and to sail in the Chesapeake. But that didn't come to pass. I'm trying to remember why.

   i wouldnt mind living on a boat for a year, it would be fun, and keep you busy with upkeep of the boat. would also be a way to get away from the rest of the world, get some peace.

   I can some up how very cool it would be to live on a boat by posting a quote from my book, (yet another shameless plug):
   
   Jean Rodenbaie was a bit of a lone wolf as well.  Although he often socially enjoyed the company of others and being the charming life of the party, when it came to his work, he preferred the quiet solitude of his own private lair.  He required the time to contemplate his ideas without the intrusions of other people’s thoughts, as he had always lived his life by his own ideas and methods.  He needed freedom…and his own space.  The frustration and irritation he felt when this privacy was invaded made it extremely difficult for him to maintain long-term, close personal relationships.  While he was generous in social situations, sharing his attention and energy freely, he was always keenly aware of the need to “come off stage” and return to the solitude of his lair.  He associated peace with the unobtrusive singularity of his private world; but intimacy was difficult for him because he guarded his inner world like a mother wolf does her cubs.  As he grew longer in the tooth, he tried harder to compensate for these short comings in his personal life.

    I suppose anyone could if they had to, but I wouldn't like it.  I love the ocean but I wouldn't want to live there or anywhere like it.  It (and the stuff that goes with it and boats) can be exhausting and frazzling.

    I have a love/hate relationship with boats.  I love the water, love the ocean.  After going on a cruise during Hurricane Michele, I am positive I could never live on a boat & travel.  I could however, live on those really sweet yachts we saw in Bar Harbor, Maine, as long as they stayed parked.
