Some of you might have noticed that about three or four weeks before the election, I said I wasn't going to visit the forums until after the election, and I stayed true to that decision.  Then, I came back as soon as the election was over.  With my recent foray back into the forums, I now am unequivocally certain that I am done with them.  I have learned a lot from many wise, funny, intelligent, and sassy forum dwellers.  However, I have become saddened and frustrated by the dominance of a small but significant group of people who don't care about what is real and what is not.  I'm tired of reading their crap and I'm tired of correcting only a very small portion of their crap because it's not worth the time it takes to do so for all of it.  Sadly, they represent a significant segment of our country.  I see them in my family and friends.  And I am saddened that so many people base their decisions upon false propaganda.

My last words on this forum are this:  Donald Trump is our new president.  When he first entered the race for the Republican nomination, many people, including me, didn't take him seriously and said he couldn't win.  That his ugly rhetoric was unprecedented in a presidential candidate (true!) and that good people would outvote those who found it acceptable.  However, these "good" people started making excuses for Donald.  He's an entertainer.  He doesn't really mean what he says. He's not racist, misogynistic, or xenophobic; he just has foot-in-mouth disease. Or, contrarily, he says exactly what he's thinking because he's non-PC and not a typical politician.  These "good" people excused him for not releasing his tax returns (unprecedented); for admitting that he paid zero income taxes; for describing himself as a man who grabs women's pussies and kisses them without their permission; for spending a week verbally assaulting parents whose child died serving our country; for insulting John McCain, a man who was a prisoner of war for over five years; for mocking a disabled reporter; for asking Americans to watch a porn video during his verbal assault on a former Miss America.  That, should he become president, he would stop his twitter tantrums, would become serious and presidential, and would be a president for all of us.  And I haven't even addressed his outlandish policies and how he changes his stance depending upon who he is talking to.

So, he is now our president-elect, and all of us are watching his actions carefully for clues. What kind of people will he surround himself with as advisors?  Who will he appoint to his cabinet?  Well, we have some answers now, don't we?  Steve Bannon, white nationalist and purveyor of alt-right propaganda, is now a paid white house chief strategist and planner.  What does this indicate to you good people?  Does it confirm your belief that Donald is not racist, misogynistic, or xenophobic?  Does it give you pause, or are you still "giving him a chance."  Or, do you just not care because you think it won't matter as long as he brings back manufacturing jobs as he promised?

To you good people who voted for Trump.  I hope I am SO wrong about Mr. Trump.  I hope that all he has shown himself to be was just an act and he will suddenly become a unifying force for our country; a thoughtful, intelligent, tough negotiator in foreign policy; a man who repeals Obamacare but fights to replace it with something "tremendous"; one who uses his knowledge of how to work the system to actually change that system, even though that change could ultimately work against him.

I sincerely hope I am wrong about Trump.  Maybe I'll come back in four years.  Good luck to us all, because we're surely going to need it in the coming years.

In the meantime, don't forget that forum dwelling should be enjoyable.  And if it isn't, leave!

    Happy posting!

Well said. I completely agree. The abuse by a small gang of bullies has destroyed any sense of community on these forums.

The drop in forum activity and the small handful who post anymore -- mostly just political extremists -- is pretty clear evidence that other people feel the same.

I'm personally sorry to see you go. You were civil throughout, even when someone was treating you badly.

While I am sorry to see you leave the Forum for the reasons you stated maybe you do need a break. Trying to make sense of many ideas and input can be overwhelming. There are a few bullies who you can depend upon for controversy but isn't that what social discourse is supposed to do. Can you talk to your friends about how you really feel without offending them and possibly ending the relationship you have with them? Are ideas and discussion something you cannot control and therefore find objectionable? There are a few who have enraged me on here who have made me lose my cool and get banned for a couple of days. I admit I deserved it every time. It made me grow beyond my thoughts and write out my arguments in a better way without attacking and without accusing what I did not agree with. Whether you are liberal or conservative did not matter to me as I have dedicated my perspective to not champion either side as my unflinching stance on any topic. If you must leave do it on your terms and don't look back. We all understand.

From my experience both of you are not over the top enough to be banned. In fact I have enjoyed both of you.

Yet, most voter groups and many countries would ban Trump. From all trouble makers I have ever seen or experience, Trump is the best at divided people and countries. Many he has not even begin to touch yet.

You know I want to abolished Federal Government , because Hillary, Trump, Obama and probably Putin are in the same Globalists Zionist club. Can any of them go in Deep discussion about Zionist. No, !

Always study and ? what people can't say and that is where the deepest darkest truth lays. If there is one lesson that you could learn from me in our entire time together on hub pages, it is that ? What a person can't say.

Check the facts, Zionist Greatest passion is power, greed, wars and running people's lives.
They create monsters fears like nuclear world wars threats. Also Civil wars begins from a landslide vote from white Christian males Americans votes vs a landslides of all other Religions votes and landslide all other races votes and landslide of all other gender votes. Add environmentist, Pope, most of people of color 86% around the world.

All perfect formula for war out of the historical Zionist hand book for War and protest the whites greed and World's fearing nukes all back by Zionist centro banker and oil kings.

Zionist create fake terrorist like Trump's asking Hillary she can't say radical Islamics. He can't say Zionist or answer questions about Zionist none of these leaders can't. Muslims the fastest growing Religion in the world. They are the next nuclear targets. It going to end up like the movie 3000. I'm proud to be a world champion hide & seeker of lovers , not a insane fighters over megalomaniacs vs large over ego groups. Add that to my resume of world class athlete and artist.

Apparently, Castlepaloma thinks Zionists are bad guys and are in cahoots with the globalists which include Hillary, Putin, Donald and Obama, therefore, he wants to abolish federal government. He believes the Zionists create fake terrorists like Trump. The Zionist passions are power, greed, war and ruining people's lives. They create "monstrous fears" such as threats of nuclear world war.
He mentions that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world and is the next nuclear target. He believes Zionist central bankers and oil kings are also behind a civil war which has begun between White Christian Males and all other Religions, Races, Genders, Environmentalists, the Pope and 86% (around the world) of People of color who are protesting "white" greed. The world's fear of Nukes gives these Zionist-Globalists power.

I think he is writing a novel.

Your word, dominance, caused me to assume you felt dominated or bullied. Sorry if I got it wrong. Actually I would say the Trump supporters are in the minority which is why we have to come across with dominance. Also, we couldn't handle the other choice who, as you know had become corrupted since her days as a Goldwater girl. Well, Sandra, I am grateful for all the time that you were the Calvary that came over the hill in the nick of time. There will now be just a one less capable hand in  the struggle against the right wing hoards and the darkness that it will plunge us into for the next 4 years. The outcome has been demoralizing, as I have also lost Alt Prime. Myself and others have to remain in the fight to keep the burs underneath the Rightwingers' saddle and leave the 'enemy' with no comfort. We will push hard for a 2018 upset in Congress, driven by disaffection with this man and his henchman.

One major  difference as to  , " Those who heap abuse ............."      Political debate and the ideological difference and discussion is only "abuse "   to the left these days !     Perhaps when the left address' that terminology  within their own community ;    they will evolve to the same conclusion  as I .

That political discussion  only turns to calling out  "abuse " when you cannot win a  argument .    When one" picks up their toys and goes home " maybe that , is all that they are doing .

P.P,    I'm  about as sure that you will leave hub page forums as I am sure that I will !   Why ?    Because I believe that here We , unlike many forums that devolve into human filth , swearing and name calling ,     Some of us have been here for years forum-ing    and even though I believe we all think like that occasionally ,  we have to realize that WE HAVE A VOICE HERE !

No matter what , no matter our differences and needs to understand even those we know we never can or will  , We  read and begin to fathom  the minds of those around us that we do not NOW understand ! In spite of what you may think  even I  have read and tried to understand "where you have come from ".  on the issues .

I also look at it this way , In the founding of America , in the first gatherings of our political fore-fathers , there must have been like minded people sitting in a  gathering house who looked cross-eyed across the aisles  at their political nemesis'  and wondered , What the heck ?

Pretty Panther , you and your opines will  be missed ! ..........:-]

    History
Since the first centuries CE, most Jews have lived outside the Land of Israel (Eretz Israel, better known as Palestine), although there has been a constant minority presence of Jews. According to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, Eretz Israel is a land promised to the Jews by God according to the Hebrew and Greek Bibles and the Quran, respectively.[37][38] The Diaspora began in 586 BCE during the Babylonian occupation of Israel. The Babylonians destroyed the First Temple, which was central to Jewish culture at the time. After the 1st century Great Revolt and the 2nd century Bar Kokhba revolt, the Roman Empire expelled the Jews from Judea, changing the name to Syria Palaestina. The Bar Kokhba revolt caused a spike in antisemitism and Jewish persecution. The ensuing exile from Judea greatly increased the percent of Jews who were dispersed throughout the Diaspora instead of living in their original home."

Jewish population is 15 million about and 6 million live in Israel. Israel is 99% Zionist jews. The silence American Jew say Israel Zionist is out, they do not recognized Zionist as Jewish Nor do Americans Jew views the historical site of Israel as Jewish homeland.

Zionist in 1946 Zionist population was1/2 million, occupied 5% of Israel land and 1/3 % of it's population.
Today 2016 - Zionist own 95% of Israel land and Palestinians 1/3 the population living on 5% of the land.

Which? Palestinian or Zionist are the bad guys?

Under Obama care US military has invaded 12 Muslims countries and bombed 8 of them. Under the Israel project funding of false flags Including ISIS troops are trained in Saudis Arabia with US made weapons. See how they all can work together attacking twin towers. Now add Putin into the mix making a total of 90% of the world's nuclear weapons.

        Palestine in 1946
It was the opposite with Jewish population

        Israel:
        Zionist population in 1946:
        1/2 million.
        1/3 % occupied 5% of Israel.

        Zionists in 2016:
        Own 95% of Palestinian's land.
        Own 95% of Israel's land.
1/3 of the Zionist population occupy 5% of the land.
        99% are Jews.

        Jewish population, (worldwide?)
        15 million
        6 million live in Israel

        Viewpoint of American Jews:
        Israel / Zionist is out.
        Zionists are not Jews.
Israel is not the homeland of the Jews.

      Recent History of Iran:
"2013 presidential election and improving US–Iran relations (2013–present)
On 15 June 2013, Hassan Rouhani won the presidential election in Iran, with a total number of 36,704,156 ballots cast; Rouhani won 18,613,329 votes. In his press conference one day after election day, Rouhani reiterated his promise to recalibrate Iran's relations with the world.

On April 2, 2015, following eight days of tortuous discussions in Switzerland, which lasted through the night to Thursday, Iran and six world powers agreed on the outlines of an understanding to limit Iran's nuclear programs, negotiators indicated, as both sides prepared for announcements. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted: "Found solutions. Ready to start drafting immediately." European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini tweeted that she would meet the press with Zarif after a final meeting of the seven nations in the nuclear talks. She wrote: "Good news."

Reading out a joint statement, European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini hailed what she called a "decisive step" after more than a decade of work. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif followed with the same statement in Farsi. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and the top diplomats of Britain, France and Germany also briefly took the stage behind them. The deal is intended to be a provisional framework for a comprehensive agreement that is not due to be signed until the end of June, but if it includes concrete facts and figures, it will mark a significant breakthrough in the 12-year history of negotiations with Iran over its nuclear programme."

    1)  I did not mention bullying, and I am not leaving because of bullying, Kathryn.  And no, horsey, I do not need a "safe space."
    2)  To repeat, I am leaving because of the proliferation of forum dwellers who don't understand the difference between fact and fiction, who don't care to know the difference between fact and fiction, and who swallow the BS of false media websites and spread the information without regard for its validity.  These same people are fine with Steve Bannon, a purveyor of false news and white nationalist, in a strategic White House position.  I am choosing to fight the prevalence of this crap in the real world.  My volunteer service just took a decidedly political turn.

I trust credence, promisem, peoplepower, gmwilliams, GA Anderson, and others will keep up the good fight here, and try to keep people based in reality. As for the rest of you purveyors of false media, you don't know how much harm you are bringing to the world, and I feel sorry for the reign of ignorance you have brought upon us, all the way to the White House.  Shame on you!

Yes, I'm sure I'll be ridiculed for returning here to post this.  Have at it!  I'm off to combat your ignorance in a different way.  By the way, I live in Oregon, one of the most beautiful states in the union. Message me if you want to visit.  I would love to meet some of you in real life, and I think you know who you are!  :-)

Trump, as expected, is lacking in tact and prudence and will find the resistance that he will encounter through basic public approval expressed daily as a more powerful determinant of events than any he thinks he has with a unified GOP running the wheels of government. That is how Trump, unless he changes course in a radical way, will be stopped.

The powers that be never intended that the 'curtain' be pulled back to expose the 'wizard of oz' for what he it is, unpalatable and unacceptable to all. The reality of the shanigans is less important than having them revealed and exposed for what they are. That is what will get his so called allies in a position to be forced to contain him.

We all will be watching and working from inside out to see that his most heinous policy directives never come to fruition.
