Rules for Amazon capsules?

Okay, I realize I've been gone awhile and change happens, but I really don't understand what's going on with the amazon capsules via the HubPro editing.

Since I've been back, only about a week or two, I've updated a few hubs by removing bad links, adding suggested capsules, and complying with the amazon ad requirement of one ad per 300 words.  Something must have worked and was good, because I now have six featured hubs.  However, after my hubs were featured, and at least one sent to a niche site, I also received notification that two were selected for HubPro editing and the editor removed three out of four amazon ads for my 1400+ word hubs.

I did a search for the answers but came up with information that was at least three years old, back when ten amazon ads were still acceptable.  Can someone please explain?

    Thanks!

I have a Hub summarising the new rules, you'll find it on the slider on my profile.

But in a nutshell, HubPages is now paranoid about Amazon ads, especially on Hubs destined for the niche sites!  I've found it impossible to get more than three Amazon products in a Hub, even when I'm comparing four similar products and recommending each one is best for a particular market.

The rules are that Amazon products must be relevant to the TITLE of your Hub.

Also, you must have a statement somewhere - in the paragraph next to the capsule, or in the Description section - saying why you, personally, recommend this particular product.  So, you need to couch it in terms such as, "I like .. because..." or "my personal favourite is...", NOT "This book comes highly recommended" etc.

The third rule is that the product must be useful to the reader, personally I think that goes without saying!

Products included in text links have more chance of being approved than Amazon capsules.

Thank you so much!  So, my next question is - where on earth do I find the Description section?  So far I haven't seen it.

In edit mode, edit the Amazon capsule as well.  To the right of the space used for the ASIN code is a link called "description".  Click it and you can add your custom description of the product.

Thanks wilderness!  I use keywords, does the ASIN code still apply?
