Have 3 great articles that have been put on hold... great articles but I guess I need to work more on the formatting and adding pictures
I like to write but hate loosing formatting or pictures!
Is every single article on here gonna be reviewed or what? Does every single one of em have to be stellar? I consider my 3 articles on hold pretty good so I'm considering maybe starting a blog...any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Perhaps this article at the HubPages Learning Center now called HubPages Helps will help Featured Hubs and the Quality Assessment Process
Here is the link to the HelpPages Helps There are five categories seen in the top headers:
** Content Creation
** Features and Programs
** Making Money
** Photos and Videos
** Promotion
** Publishing Standards
Hope that helps . . .
Yes every single one has to be stellar. Hub Pages is back to being a site for great content and not just any content.
the thing with posting pictures though is that it entertains the visitor too much... I want to bore the user so that they look for an exit by clicking and ad!
That won't work. If they're bored, they're far more likely to click back to the search results than click forward on an ad.
It may help you to read my Hub on the essential rules of HubPages - it's possible you broke a rule without realising it. The Learning Centre has everything in it, but it's huge - my Hub summarises everything you need to know.
To answer your question about Stellar Hubs - no, Hubs do not have to be Stellar (i.e. they don't have to tick all the boxes in the Stellar guidelines in the top right hand corner). In fact, if you tick every box, there's a good chance you've shoehorned in several things that shouldn't be there - not every Hub needs a poll AND a table AND a map AND several videos, for instance.
However, you do need to tick a reasonable number of boxes, and (IMO) length and photos are the most important boxes to tick.
Anyway, the bottom line on today's HubPages is that if you don't write a Hub that's well-rounded and well-illustrated, it won't get selected for one of the niche sites. If it doesn't get selected for one of the niche sites, you may as well forget it - the niches are where the money is.
Forcing readers to click an ad to get the info they want or just to relieve the boredom of your page is a pretty poor strategy. You have been reading some bad advice from long ago.
If you want to publish on HubPages, you have to follow their rules. If you think your "bore them into clicking an ad" strategy is a good one, you can create your own site and try it there.

I notice another of my STEM articles was reviewed by a Hubpages member. I wonder is Hubpages doing this on an adhoc basis or are they pursuing this actively?

I have been getting a lot of emails lately saying: "Congratulations! We've Reviewed Your Article on LetterPile and It Looks Great!"This is fine, but why are staff reviewing articles that have only been moved to the niche site two or three days ago? This seems a little premature and a...

I've scrounged HubPages for this challenge as I posted one Sunday, one yesterday, and am working on what today. With only 20 hubs in the years I have been on here, I think it would be a great challenge. Is anyone currently undertaking this? Do you have any other advice?

I'm sure there will be an official announcement about this, but I just noticed one of my maths articles was professionally reviewed. This is great news. Let's hope it adds authority to articles and keeps Google happy.

So far, thanks to the Idle hubs "feature", I have had my second month in a row where I haven't earned $50 through the HP Ad program... and these are the only 2 times, out of the history of me using HP Ads, that I haven't reached the $50 mark.Weren't the idle hubs supposed to help...
